Poland has one of the largest militaries in Europe. It dwarfs Western European militaries. Much of their equipment is Soviet bloc type stuff, but they manufacture much of it and have significantly modified and upgraded it. A portion of the Polish military has modernized.

It is on the Polish news, and the immediate call up applies to only 500 reservists.

Last year they trained 7 000 reservists.

These are miniscule numbers.

I am guessing that is possible that they only call up ethnic Germans and Ukrainians, that is why these call ups are so numerically limited.

The "government" of Poland is too afraid to give weapons to ethnic Poles.

Poland has the best tank army in European NATO. While Germany, France and the UK downgraded or even disbanded their armor, Poland believes in tanks.

On a per soldier basis Poland has perhaps the weakest military in the world.

Most of these tanks are in storage, and majority of these are not in a workable condition.

More generals, pencil pushers, and chaplains than in probably any other military in the world.
