Why did I just recieve Bankruptcy paperwork from ALTEGRITY INC ? (vetted Snowden)

I dont think I have ever done any business with them.

Omfg! Thanks for that! Received my paperwork today from this Alegrity bankruptcy. Before I came here my wife assumed I was on some watch list for my activity here. I came here and seen the thread and I was like "oh shit watch list confirmed". Then I seen your explanation which makes sense.


The truth is that we are probably still on some list but thinking all this today really made it real.

If you owe someone and haven't paid or are way behind, they can force a bankruptcy to get their money out of you. That company may be the one the people owed are using to get things going.

I too received it but I never worked as truck driver. It is nowhere related to me. Wondering why did I received it.

I found this forum by researching this claim form. My husband received one & is a truck driver. It does have to do with the DAC report as one of the debtors is HireRight Solutions. HireRight handles a lot of this info, from what I understand. I'm not real sure what, if anything, we are supposed to be doing with this info, so I guess I'll keep searching.

DAC screwed me royally once and cost me a job.
A couple years back I was automatically entered
into a class action suit, and got 300+ bucks out
of the clear blue sky.
The job I lost was with Celadon, and from what I
heard, I was lucky to have lost it.

This Altegrity (I wonder if it's the opposite
of Integrity?) stuff just went into the circular file.

I received notice of this bankruptcy too. I I have been working as a truck driver for many years. I noticed that one of their companies is HireRight. That's a background check company that many businesses and creditors use and one I know has run background checks on me for more than one company. Why they would think I had a claim...? IDK. I guess that's the relevant question most people have. Why notify me of their bankruptcy?

They were sued a few years back in a class action

Like others, I found this forum via searching for what this bankruptcy means to me. Now it makes sense since my husband is a trucker.

The big question is how do we know if we have a claim? I've heard horror stories of people's DACs no being accurate. I'm not aware of any problems with this DAC. He has never had trouble getting jobs. But we've never checked his DAC to make sure it's accurate.

Maybe we need to see if it's being discussed on a trucker forum.

Not sure why I received these letters but they are going in the trash unless I hear that I'm getting money back...

We also got the Altegrity paperwork. There was a Hire Right class action lawsuit, and I remember getting a check for some small amount. I think it was under $10. I thought that was settled. I was wondering if we need to do anything. The paperwork is so confusing to read. There are so many horror stories from Hire Right. I might call the number on the letter tomorrow. If I find out anything, I will let you all know.

I also got a proof of claim from this Altegrity back in April. I have had a background check done for a couple jobs I have had. Anyone find out what to do with this information? Is ignoring the letter a good idea? I'm serious at a lost with all this.

Thank you everyone. Was driving us crazy to figure out what the heck this was about and why we were receiving these docs. Much appreciated.

They probably got your info from the IRS hack!

Don't fill anything out!

You get the mailing because the lawyers involved got their hands on the database of who 'might' be affected, so in order to prove to the court that there are no potential outstanding claims, they send this mailing to EVERYONE in the database. Unless you can prove they actually owe you money (or just want to have fun causing them to sort through endless paperwork), just throw it away.

Do you happen to own any stock, investments, hedge funds?

I also received "The Letter" I know the company I work for was (and may still be) used Hire Right for all their new hire screening and background checks.

I can only guess that I got "The Letter" because I was in their files for my pre-employment testing and background checks.

I have not seen any kind of check. I would gladly take I f they want to send me one.
