After a while I started to drift off then all of a sudden there's this loud bang/explosion inside of my head... Yeah, I only experienced mine right before I would normally wake up, around 7 or 8am. It came in the form of either knocking or a gun shot. Used to happen to me nearly ever day, then just suddenly stopped, and hasn't happened to me in years. I think it was related to my stress levels.

Hey Calin :) Yup I get headshots flashing white light and single words shouted at me...lol quite disconcerting Xx Quoting: MsMc Mine generally occur when just about to drop off to sleep. suddenly they'll be a short sharp noise inside your skull. Last night it was like a glass bulb smashing. Lasted about 2 seconds. Happened before but different noises, and not for a while. Scary, also last nights 'explosion' felt like it popped/shattered the very centre i.e pineal gland
