I've always been thin. Not skeleton thin, but thinner than most girls my age, since I was little. That's my frame, that's how my body looks, that's my genes, I'm not unhealthy.

I'll tell you though I've been brought to tears when I was younger because of how girls talked to me.

I feel bad for girls who are big too, because they're outcasted and treated bad. SOME girls do have bigger frames.

The difference now is, the amount of large girls now. It is beyond genes and frame now, now it's lifestyle decisions.

Treat everybody with respect. Still a good motto.

Right, be blessed with what you have. I was really skinny in high school, but because of my curves and boobs, no one made fun of me. My mother was always on me to gain weight though because she said i was all boobs.

I am and look healthier as a 4/6 than thinner, bit that is me.

No one should make fun of other people's real bodies. In terms of severely overweight children and teens, perhaps growth hormones in milk? I'm not sure for all of them it is lifestyle decisions and if someone is large and it's due to their frame you can typically tell and they will also fit their body and look fine.

I know how much pressure women feel, so I try and always sincerely compliment all the nice women around me, about something worthy, because sadly I think most don't get their due share of appreciation.

I have a daughter, a rare case who actually is obese due to a genetic dent in one of her chromosomes.
I've seen a lifetime of prejudice towards her due to her weight.
Fat people are treated with far more disdain than any race.
Most aren't overweight due to genetics like my daughter is, her syndrome is a rare one, but eating too much is an addiction, and while other types of addicts get sympathy, even accolades in the case of money-addiction, and are tolerated unless they behave badly, it is the fatties that get instant dislike, no matter how well they behave.

Yeah, and some challenging music, movies, writing goes a long way too.

grow your own food, teach children to appreciate where their food comes from. teach them how it is grown nutrient dense and safe to consume. teach them to prepare raw veggies and not mac n cheese, lays, cheetos, or m and m crap. when you eat real food, your body finds its balance in weight.

With addictions, all that teaching doesn't mean a thing.

There are multitude of problems with our current situation. One of such being that we treat addicts like pests, bugs, rodents and filth... we jail them and shame them. Instead we could use our medical knowledge to help them get over their emotional and chemical problems instead of enslaving the masses to sickness until death and bank account is dry. The addiction excuse is just that.. an excuse, sorry.
