Stormtroopers are clones, none of which are black.

Clearly, he's not from the Empire, but disguised.

I thought Old Republic stormtroopers were clones (Episodes 1, 2, and 3)

But, by A New Hope, the stormtroopers were recruits.

Certainly, by 7, 8, and 9 -- They are recruiting.

The clones all died out in the Clone Wars pre Episode IV, right?

You know, I'm not sure, I just assumed clones were in infinite supply.

I've never seen a trooper recruit, but you may be right.

I watched a few Clone Wars episodes, but aside from the movies, I'm not well-versed on the SW universe.

In the end, I think the black guy is just pulling a New Hope move, kill a trooper and infiltrate.

It'll be interesting to see how PC they go with this one.

There is no racism in the Star Wars universe. I know it's a shock.

As for that "black guy" in Storm Trooper gear, its clearly a member of the new Republic in disguise, as it looks to me like Jaina is helping him, not the other way around, and I saw several scenes in the trailers that show him NOT wearing any storm trooper gear.

Also, it was well known that Palpatine and Tarkin were both very racist and enforced a 'humans only' rule on the Empire and employed mostly all white humans.

The ONLY confirmed exception to this being Grand Admiral Thrawn who was a Chiss; a blue skinned human-like alien; who was recruited into the Imperial Navy and rose through its ranks due to being a tactical genius.

They better not make him the main character, if so star wars is finished. Don't need some wise cracking idiot on screen. They make blacks so dam annoying in movies with their STUPID jokes and racist comments all the time.

Guess they think having a black main character is going to get more blacks into the theaters to see a movie 90% have never seen because THEY'RE racist and refuse to watch white people in movies.
