Natural remedies for ear infection?

Honest to god, your own urine. No, I'm not bullshitting you, it's an old time remedy. Sounds gross but I guess it works.

If it's not too bad yet, might try hydrogen peroxide in the ears. Pour a capful in one side and lay down with it up til it stops fizzing, wipe it out, and then do the other ear. Works for me. I've seen stuff say it can rupture your eardrums but most of what I've read about it is positive.

I've heard raves about urine too... an elderly neighbor even told me she used to have her children use it, they had a special receptacle for the purpose in the house.

That said, personally I use hydrogen peroxide, it does clean out the ears well, but have never had an actual infection.

Oil pulling works too.

garlic oil

Hydrosol silver.. spray lightly in ears and use as nose spray. Stops it quickly.

Don't take Cipro or levoquin, they can cause tendon/disc damage like they did to me.

You can try oils like pine oil, etc, MANY to choose from.

Warm Minerak Oil in an eyedropper.

I would just use some hydrogen peroxide. Lay down on your side and use it in each ear for 15-20 seconds. drain it and flush with water and then dry your ears off.

It takes less than five minutes, it is almost free, and there can be no side effects from it if you flush it afterwards with water.

I do this for colds I cannot shake. Works like a charm. Why the ears? I don't know. But it has a good chance of helping your situation, too.

Worth a try. I have never had an ear infection but if I did, I would try this.

Cut a clove of garlic in 1/4.
stick the 1/4 garlic in ear, it sounds

Yup garlic / mullein oil drops literally just successfully used it on infant daughters ear infection instead of antibiotics

Chop garlic fine1clove/two tbsp -Soak in olive oil . Put mixture into a warm water bath. Warming the garlic oil! -wait 5 -10 mins -oil Must be warm going into ear! Drain garlic oil/strain, so only oil remains
With dropper -Drop 4 -6 drops into ear.
Lay on opposite
side!
Put warm water cloth or water bottle on ear with drops. Lay still for 20 minutes .
REPEAT 3 times a day
WORKS

Then if you can ear Candle do so the next day.
Then repeat.
Or hot shower warm ears let drain naturally

Don't be insane. God created the herbs and medicines that big Pharma uses they are not all bad, duh.. So USE the Amoxicillin. Duh!!! Sure hope you're not dragging a kids ear through this. If you want to go deaf on your own for some nonsensical looney principle, be my guest. That's on you. Penicillin has been around longer than you, my friend.

Cod liver oil mixed mixed with a pinch of baking soda and vaseline. Make a small paste in your hands and apply. This is for infection behind the ears. If you decide to put this in your ears be careful and use one of those approved plastic little ear cleaners for $5. Put a little bit of the paste on the plastic cleaner and gently swab around the ear canal.

Good old Himalayan pink rock salt, dissolved in warm water and squirted in the ear a few times a day. Helped me when I felt like someone was stabbing me in the ear from an infection.

Also like someone else stated here, garlic mixed with oil works to rid infection. I just had a leaky ear infection a few days ago. I used the cod liver oil and baking soda.

A few drops of warm olive oil in the ear did the trick for me the last time I had an ear infection. The taste once it starts draining into your throat will be awful though.

Go ahead and try a natural remedy, but if it doesn't work, go to the doctor. An ear infection is too close to the brain, so you don't want to let it fester for too long.

Boil some water.
Take an empty coffee mug and put in some drops of tea tree oil.
You could use oregano oil too if you want.

Pour the boiling water into coffee mug and then put your head over it and let the steam rise up into your ear.

mullein oil, a couple of drops and my infection was gone and it provided instant relief.

Warm olive oil.

Put a metal teaspoon into a cup of hot water for 30 seconds.

pour olive oil into the teaspoon and hold the teaspoon over the hot cup of water for a few seconds.

Take a pipette and fill it with the oil.

Squirt the oil into your ear, lie on your side (opposite side of the infected ear) and let it trickle into the ear canal.

Seal the ear with a cotton wool bud and leave it for 20 minutes.

And don't eat dairy.

It encourages ear infections.

Grape seed extract. GSE ear remedy available on Amazon. Worked for me.

if you have ear canals that travel almost straight down like mine do, peroxide wont work. had ear infections many times as a kid. mine almost always required antibiotics..

Best thing I ever came across was Hopi ear candles (used by the Hopi and the Egyptians thousands of years ago). Its a strip of muslim dipped in wax and rolled into a cone (you can buy them already made up).

It will heal your ears and your sinuses draw all the impurities out.

Buy the ones with herbs in as they are better (more soothing).
