After the release of an unclassified document labeling both Texas and Utah as hostile, theorists began to question whether the realistic exercise, known as Jade Helm, 15, was in preparation of a martial law takeover. Chief Deputy Roy Boyd told the Advocate in December the U.S. Army Special Operations Command chose the Crossroads because Victoria and Goliad counties offered an ideal terrain. Lt. Thomas Eisman, a spokesman for the sheriff's office, said the command didn't offer any details about why they chose to cancel training in the area. The Advocate was unable to get an official comment Wednesday from the Army Special Operations Command. Interesting. Maybe they're afraid that locals (and others NOT so local) might congregate to give them some grief. -- TRUST THE PLAN -- .......WWG1WGA...... ____________________________ still in awe of many things |

I was in Bastrop the other day for the meeting and have been following this closely, getting information from buddies in the military here participating in it and family in law enforcement. I have posted in other threads, but I will say it again...this is not ALL about martial law. That is relatively easy compared to the other functions of this drill, and can be accomplished with the national guard and police force. Each location is chosen for a reason other than any martial law fears you may have. For example, the Midland/ Odessa area is home to the largest oil well in the United States, the 2nd largest in the world. In the event of a "crisis", one of America's top priorities would be to secure energy resources to continue any sense of order or control. If it was cut off from traditional sources of oil, the Permian Basin would be the logical choice. This type of reasoning can be found in many of the other locations where the drill is supposed to take place. This also explains the need for special forces in the drill, as many are probably "high priority" targets. Bastrop- perfect rural staging area large enough to secure assets in the Capitol- Austin. San Antonio- Home to major military bases and whatever that implies College Station- home to one of two CIA database computers, several different types of top notch exploratory research facilities (vaccines, nuclear tech, etc.) Need I continue? The wal marts in question are probably part of the supply chain in the hypothetical crisis, and will be seized to use as FOBs of some sort for operations when it actually goes live. All I can say is look past the obvious, because it is too easy to come to the conclusions being spewed in the mainstream. Does this set them up pretty much perfectly for martial law? Sure.
