Is a big earthquake headed to Arizona?

TEMPE, AZ (3TV) -

Two earthquakes in northern Arizona within the past few days were aftershocks of a larger one that hit several months ago, according to an Arizona State University professor.

"This week there was a magnitude 2.6 and a 3.2 that were recorded, although my colleagues at Arizona Geological Survey say they recorded about 20 more that were even a little bit smaller," said Ramon Arrowsmith, professor of geology in the School of Earth and Space Exploration at ASU.

At least 20 endangered sei whales found washed up dead along coast of Chile

A group of foreign scientists discovered at least 20 dead sei whales beached along Chile's southern coast on the Gulf of Penas and reported them to the National Fisheries Service.

A statement from Chilean officials on Friday said there were around 20 whales, while the scientists said they counted more than 30.

The International Union for Conservation of Natures lists the sei as an endangered species and the whales are no longer supposed to be hunted commercially.

Hundreds evacuated in Indonesia's N. Sulawesi volcano eruption

JAKARTA, May 8 (Xinhua) -- At least 465 people were evacuated from their houses in Siau Tagulandang Biaro district in North Sulawesi province on Friday following eruption of Karangetang volcano, a senior official at Indonesia's National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) said here.

Impact of the active volcano's eruption has flattened several houses in Kora village in the region, BNPB Spokesperson Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said, adding that in the afternoon the volcano was still erupting lava, rocks and hot materials as far as several kilometers from the crater of the volcano.

I feel for ya.

That is how I am feeling. Very tired of winter. I love it when it is actually suppose to be winter, NOT when I am suppose to be getting my Mom's Day gifts, which have been gardening plants for many years now! Next weekend is suppose to be good, unless they change it up like this weekend was changed - supposed to have been clear and sunny. That is what they are calling for, for next weekend. Better be! I want my garden things planted before surgery.

Last year on June 11th I have my gallbladder removed in emergency surgery. This year on June 11th, I get to have a hernia repair done to the surgical site of the gallbladder. This keeps up and I am going to hate June 11th!!!

Last year's through my gardening season completely off. Better not this year!!!

Yes it is. Our ground is saturated from all the rain we have had for the last week and a half and now we get snow also. It will be very heavy wet snow that are killers for trees, bushes and those who have planted their gardens already.
