The eruption of Oregon could span into 3 states. Mt St Helens only effected one. | |

Oregon State University scientist Bill Chadwick and his team measured the changes with sensors laid on the seafloor last year. Officials say an eruption is not a threat to coastal residents because the earthquakes are small ... stop trolling. or improve your limited intelligence and reading comprehension. There is lots of info about that subduction zone's short and long cycles of breathing adjustments. I think the last big event was 600 years ago according to geologists cutting through the earth cake, as well as indigenous indian lore. I swear that region produces the most magical stone pieces of anywhere in the states. All because of aeons of dynamic heat and pressure. I have been moved to tears by the beauty of some of these stone specimens. Imminent? Nobody knows, scientists can measure but can't predict squat. Humans are idiots about their home planet, however much they knead their brow pretending to know something. Measurements, not much else. Carry on :) |

You are the troll.... you cannot determine either the quakes nor the eruption potential from faulty scientists. |

Oh,I'm not siding with scientists or msm. but OP regularly, and probably intentionally, misunderstands the links he posts. I'm just one of many who had pointed this out. So, that makes him a troll. |

The discovery of this volcano off the coast of Oregon and its being in a currently "active eruption, was a real eye-opener for me. You need to remember that the well known volcanoes closest to this under-water volcano, like Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Hood, are BOTH pyroclastic volcanoes. These volcanoes, as opposed to the "cone volcanoes" like Kilauea (where you see the lava just oozing down the slopes when it erupts) are the more explosive variety. Just imagine Mt. St. Helens UNDER WATER! If there were to be a major eruption I'd expect to see a huge geological event. It could even set off the whole Cascadia fault line. The jury is still out as far as what to expect as trying to study this thing under miles of water has got to make learning its secrets a very difficult task. I would be moving AWAY from the coastline there for safety's sake. I actually moved away from Depot Bay,OR years ago when they started to put up all those tsunami warning signs. I knew something was up even back then! Geologist put the numbers into the computer regarding the Oregon coast volcano. Computer finds: "The Coast is TOAST!"
