I would say 3 are almost equal in value:

Water, sunlight and soil

Sunlight

Without sunlight plants can't grow and we wouldn't have cucumbers and green chili for the margaritas I just made.

Without sunlight we wouldn't have evaporation and precipitation - therefore all water locked up frozen.

Without sunlight we wouldn't have the energy that our planet needs to survive without oil.

Without sunlight - we would never have a lovely day at the beach.

I would have to say the most valuable resource on the planet is one not listed- people. More specifically, the ability for an individual to think for themselves (and likewise act if they so choose).

True, a free and conscious and thoughtful mindset is one of the most important things to have. But as for material resources - the most important material resources - when it comes to their benefits for mankind, other beings and the planet - would be whatever is necessary to sustain living things, that other necessities depend on, and can not exist without. Would minerals still be the same today without the existence of sunlight ? Would water still be what it is today, if sunlight, or the sun itself, had never existed in the first place ? And would it sill be necessary ? And perhaps Gold, or Plasma, contains life-sustaining properties, hitherto undiscovered. Or maybe there is a resource whose true potential is yet untapped. Is soil as necessary as Helium 3, if the food it is used to grow is negatively affected by radioactivity caused by a nuclear disaster, when Helium 3 could have been used as an alternative source of energy rather than nuclear power ?

Consciousness is key. It is not a resource, because resources are that which is used. But how is consciousness used ? For we do not use consciousness, we are consciousness. Consciousness is that from which all things used as resources flow.

It could still be paradise with humans, if humans learned to be the guardians and protectors of earth rather than oppressors of it.

Very well said, I kind of think of it as a resource that needs to be generated from within by transmuting dense energy.
