Quoting: 411 Sen. Charles E. Grassley, who had pressed Mr. Koskinen over the issue, released written responses Wednesday in which the commissioner admitted he’d botched the question earlier and in fact illegal immigrants granted the amnesty will now be able to claim refunds on tax returns they never even filed, thanks to the Earned Income Tax Credit. “To clarify my earlier comments on EITC, not only can an individual amend a prior year return to claim EITC, but an individual who did not file a prior year return may file a return and claim EITC (subject to refund limitations under section 6511 of the Internal Revenue Code),” Mr. Koskinen said. How can an American citizen compete with people who are given free healthcare, free food, free housing and free money? When I was a painting contractor I had to compete against these folks. Since they were somewhat subsidized even back then, they could offer much lower pricing than the rest of us who had actually grown up in this country and contributed to it. I got out of the painting biz. Many friends who were sheet rockers, carpet layers, electrical, etc., also lost their businesses. How is an American Citizen supposed to compete in w world where illegals are given mass amounts of subsidies that the American citizen is not? Especially when the American actually has to PAY into that very same system? See the difference? One PAYS, the other TAKES. The Payer loses, and in some cases, it's their houses, their cars, their businesses. |
