Dandelion Wine...just drank my first batch...it's easy and tastes great...nice buzz..no sulfites
Last night I tapped into my first batch of Dandelion Wine and it was tasty and it worked! I even stopped half way through the normal ferment time. They said three weeks I drank on day 11. I didn't filter or anything just strained and drank....next time I will filter better and wait longer on the next batch. I can't believe how easy it was and it cost me like $2.00 to make with the two pieces of fruit and some sugar. I'm hooked this wine is tasty!....Not a drunk either just like a low buzz to sleep when I can't afford weed.

Yes...grab a bunch od D-lion flowers...no stems just flowers..fill a plastic produce bag about half full....only takes a few minutes. Find a 1 or 2 gallon glass jug and take off the lid. Boil enough water to cover....use good water if you can not tap. Pour water over flowers and let sit for 3-6 hours. Strain all plant material so you are left with brown water. Add 1 sliced apple, 1 orange, 1 lemon, rinds and all...cut up the citrus some. Add some sugar maybe a cup or two...or honey...what ever you got. Cover with a cloth and place in a cool, dark, area. Stir every few days gently with a big spoon. Wait 3 weeks and you have wine....I tried earlier...and it was fine. Filter, place any extra in corked bottles or glass jars, drink and enjoy!

I do raspberry wine, I have an abundance.

I did lemonbalm wine once. It tasted really good but it made me weepy. I am not a cryer and this shit had me bawling for no good reason, weird huh?

I love my homemade wine.

Yes, it does. If you're using the flowers for wine you can dry the roots and leaves for medicinal uses.

I have always wanted to try dandelion wine. I drink organic cranberry and raspberry wines, and love the flavor. OP, can you please post a link or a copy of instructions on how you make this wine? I would be very interested in making it myself.
