I think it's early to call it peaceful. I kind of think there will some form of demonstrations or protests in the days to come.

If it really happened(which I doubt), people aren't as revengeful over a nut/psyco.

if Roof is convicted and as a punishment is fined $5 and has his hunting license taken away......there'll be riots.

Because the propaganda associated with this event is more important. In other words the Rioters have been given stand-down orders. If they were to riot now than regular viewers would be distracted from the "evil white man" narrative.

I live here as well. It is very calm. We are a strong, faith based city (holy city anyone?) and have some truly amazing people here. 99 percent of the locals will not riot as there is a ton of opportunity here employment wise and no one wants to lost their job. We (believe it or not) have some pretty great race relations. Everyone goes about doing their own thing and living their life. We also rely heavily on tourism and I honestly do not think CPD will stand for any riots, etc. We do have that 1 percent of hood boogers that will try to act out.

Do I think we will have demonstrations? Probably. We had them for the Walter Scott killings, and for the most part they were very peaceful. One got out of hand at city hall and was handled once they figured out the logistics as it was close to a school and kids were being let out at that time. Al is already on the way here, but most black Charlestonian's do not take him seriously. The one I worry about is Malik Shabazz...he is BAD news as far as the protesters go and told our newspaper the last time that he encouraged civil disobedience (and he's an attorney!). That is when the black community leaders said buh-bye to that foolishness. I'm sure he will pop up at some point.

Do I think we will have more of that nonsense like the Atlanta break-in? You bet. It's going to be along, very hot summer.

Exactly! Just following the script. Anyone who thinks those "riots" in Ferguson and Baltimore were grass roots, needs to research beyond the MSM lies. Although, I do love rioters who limit their damage to pre-designated areas slated for redevelopment (i.e. Ferguson).
