That's in the top end though the tropics everything gets big there and the dingoes control the population somewhat.
Other places in Aus they have 0 natural predators at all.

Yeah we have tried this dingoes wont live down south in the colder climates don't believe everything you read.

It's actually the quokkas, the potoroos, the numbats, the frilled neck lizards, the bilbies, the woylies, the bettongs, the Tasmanian Devils, the dunnarts, the echidnas, the loggerhead turtle eggs and the quolls (among others) that need saving from feral cats.

Cats were not "introduced" this is nonsense.
They are wild domestic cats kittens who were born in the wild from stray cats.
That had to fend for themselves and became wild, and bred a new kind of wild cat.

This is how the problem got started:

Actually there is. They're feral cats, an invasive species, and they're decimating the native wildlife. The gov aren't saying they're gonna kill people's pets, just the wild ones. I mean 2 million is a lot of cats, but I have a feeling there's far more than 2 million feral cats in Aus.

Agreed and yes very true. They are not only out in the country areas but going wild and breeding in the cities too. They seem to love the industrial areas. There are heaps around those areas. Might help keep the vermin population down there but they devastate the wildlife.

I've trained my cats to bring in dead rodents and live birds. If they bring me a dead bird, they don't get rewarded. If they bring me a live mouse, they don't get rewarded and I kill the mouse/rat.
