Among these participants, those that consumed two or more diet sodas a day experienced waist size increases that were a shocking six times greater than those who did not drink diet soda." |

I do like a soda with lunch for some reason. I try to find that throwback Pepsi or Dew made with real sugar, not HFCS. Or a stevia soda, or la croix at least. I will not drink diet soda and have been telling people not to drink it because it is horrible health-wise, plus it actually causes weight gain. Which is the exact opposite of why they are drinking it. And it tastes bad! I am just astounded you can tell somebody this, and they will not listen. They are really thinking that if what I said were true, someone would have told them on TV or facebook by now, or the government would have banned it by now... This country is driving me mad. |

Try it, Most people drink shit. Everything is saturated with an intense flavour so that the taste buds are overwhelmed and confused by the chemical cocktail, gentle flavours such as cucumber, mint & a bit of honey, do not even register. Think about it chips, salad dressings, sauces, vegetables are there for texture not flavour. A ripe real tomato is a beautiful thing) seasoned or un. I find that I can no longer drink coke with rum, or dr pepper but can enjoy a rum with seltzer water and fresh mint, or a slight bit of cola flavour with natural sugar. But prefer just sparkling water, with a mashed fresh cherry, or two. A slice of peach or apricot, a hint of flavour. wmMmw |

I think I'll give the seltzer with mashed cherries and peach a shot. Ya sold me! (No cucumber water, though. Eww) |

I pay about 40 cents per litre of seltzer including carbonation & flavour & the amount of water I drink has increased considerably) at first I bought sparkling water and mixed with flavours at home, but the carbonator and several bottles was a really good investment. Sodastream brand. Drinking almost two or three litres a day and don't spend money at the gas station + don't consume the crazy poisons put in beverages in these times. If I sometimes pick up a fast food burger will just drink soda water from the machine with a quick squirt of flavour if I feel like it, but prefer the fizzy bubbly (as we call it) straight up or with ice. wmMmw |

Quoting: Not Fat 69806119 A landmark new study out of Texas confirms this, having found that not only do diet sodas not help with weight loss, but they actually cause both weight gain and health problems.” It’s a marketing ploy, and you fell for it. You are overweight because you drink diet soda and use that as an excuse for not exercising. The aspartame conspiracy in full light…. [link to www.naturalnews.com] so that's how the anorexics lived for so long. how many calories in aspartame? drink ten pounds of liquid, gain ten pounds. every liter of water has 273 baseline rate calories, if one absolute zero water has 0 calories. increase the celsius temperature more it has 274 calories. Science, why did you lie to the anorexics and the fatties? So you need 2 liters of water a day, that's 546 calories, baseline rate. but water calories go faster than others. That 2000 calorie thing is a myth for world war 2 rations for lumberjacks and wrestlers. |

The absolute most overt scam in the history of the FDA in my opinion. Soda doesn't belong in the diet, especially if one is trying to lose weight or someone who has diabetes or some other illness. Soda isn't part of a health driven diet. Period. So "diet" soda is fucking laughable...all the way to the bank of the CFO and below. An oxymoran for the ultra morans of America and beyond. I didn't mean to do that...or did I? |
