Here in Oklahoma, many tribes have settled here (Trail of Tears)...

They have been getting rich from the Casino money and are buying up a lot of the land. Lots of benefits to be in the tribe. Affordable healthcare (yes they have their own hospitals), and had a 100K gift/scholarship for every native American child who reached 18.

Right now, lots of politics between the tribes. Florida tribes want a piece of the action here in Oklahoma and the Council here said no way...

You are wrong about tribes and financial dispersement. All tribes are different but those with casinos or other profitable enterprises put most of the money back into the tribe through varies programs and means. There are exceptions of course were greed/mismangement has corrupted the enterprise/effort.

Legally? You have to have a judicial system in place for that. Strictly speaking ALL lands were stolen from occupants already there. No matter how far back you go tribes have always invaded others. If you don't claim it (and just living there without building permanent structures is not claiming it) somebody else will claim it. Even if you do claim it by building permanent structures you still have to protect it from others.

The fact is, unlike previous occupants of that land who left remnants of a civilization, the "native americans" did not build any permanent structures on the land. They had there favoured tribal lands, but moved from hunting ground to hunting ground, fought with other tribes and were quite happy with the status quo. As is the way of the world, outsiders came along and took those lands and built permanent structures and towns on it. If you don't get it back within a certain time period (usually 100 years max) then you've lost it as it's very hard to get back and you now have new generations with a 'claim' to the land.

The Native Americans have been on the land mass longer than any other ethnicity but they did not spring up with the land, they migrated there. If they'd built a whole civilization that got stolen, they might have cause to claim foul, but they didn't. Everything of America, it's institutions, it's values, etc was built by Europeans.

The idea that the Constitution and ideas on democracy came from the Native Americans is also laughable. The Founding Fathers were British (traitors to Britain certainly, but British nevertheless). We have a little thing over here called The Magna Carta, you might have heard of it. One of the greatest documents on liberty to ever exist. Your Constitution and 'Common Law' is based on that. (We also have a Bill Of Rights but they don't teach that anymore so most people don't know. Cameron and co keep saying they'll give us one even though we have one. We also know it is still legally valid because the crooked politicians used it to escape jail when they were charge with fiddling expenses).

Honestly the idea that the US belongs to the Native Americans is just so much horseshit. Maybe everyone needs to go back to Africa as that is supposedly our true home? (Yeah I know the Out Of Africa has been debunked, but it's still widely believed).
