I can't remember if I replied to this thread or not so you'll have to excuse me if I did reply and I'm basically just saying what I already said.

I've mentioned on other posts that I have a very hard time picturing something loving and kind putting us here to basically rot. For those that are living good and happy lives, it's not as if the bubble you live in is the only one out there. That bubble could be popped in a second by anything

Yeah, I find it believable there's something feeding off the negative energy.

I also find it believable that we're deformed. Maybe we were created and we're too ugly and stupid to live in their perfect world. "Don't have to heart to kill them but I don't want them infesting in our perfect world so we need to get them out of our world and into their own world"...say that with as much disgust in your voice as possible, on par with finding out your houses has been infested with roaches

Or we're tokens in a game. Maybe we're the freaks becoming self aware enough to really think about it. Pull out a Monopoly game, do you think those tokens can think and know they're nothing but pieces being moved around on a board? No. And for the most part you see the same in this world. Maybe there's an off handed question about "What's the meaning of life?" and that's a good place to start. But usually that's the only question I see asked among the general population. The things that don't make sense are never openly questioned or talked about. So maybe it's like that? "I'm off to work." *move to work square* "I'm off to school." *move to school square* "I'm off to the grocery store. *move to grocery store square* So on and so forth.

This is what I have fears of. I look at this world and it's IMPOSSIBLE for me to think of this peaceful happy place where good people can go and recover from this shithole world or a place where bad people can go and get punished for the deeds they've done in this world. It seems like utter nonsense. Even more so when you look at how people act, so is heaven only gonna be filled with 3 people while everybody else burns? All those assholes gonna be up in heaven? Gee, talk about jumping from one burning pot to another. It's just nonsense and I just don't believe it.

What I do believe is nothing happening after death or we get tossed back into this shithole for another round. Yep, different personality and skinsuit but you're back here to play another game.

One of my favorite shows growing up was The Twilight Zone....the original that was hosted by Rod Serling. A lot of these episodes involve me mentally taking away the scifi elements and fitting them into what we see in our world. There was an episode called "The Little People" that fascinates me. It's something we see play out in our world. Yeah, this guy goes batshit crazy over this population of tiny people because he's bigger and stronger than they are. End of the episode features beings even bigger than this normal sized guy accidentally squashing him to death. We're on a ladder, whether we're talking about the school yard bullies picking on the people that aren't strong enough/willing to defend themselves or whether we're talking about things that really could be feeding off of us without anybody or anything intervening.

*nod* I really don't think we had a choice in coming here. I think we were forced or lied to in order to come here. I was thinking about that yesterday and how it's all so blank slate. Maybe the majority are too busy playing follow the leader to realize they should feel violated for being here*.

The catholic religion tells to their sheeple face that everybody burns on the other side. They say "bad people go to hell and burn for punishment" and "good people go to purgatory(another name of hell) to burn and purify from the fires so they can enter heaven".

This is identical to the "death or exile" from batman to the giant/cyclops 2 choices from the ender's game where either choice led to being burned in acid.
The real choice in ender's game to beat the game and get your freedom was to kill the giant/cyclops/shepherd jesus instead of playing his "death or exile" game.

Another movie like cloud atlas that showed to our face the heaven they brainwash us to expect on the other side is a pipe dream and actually a trap is "the island 2005"

I realize a lot of people might not be happy with my answer for this post but I'm gonna say it anyway. Tell me what the similarity is in what's happening in our world over the past few years (get used to Big Brother, cops that look and act like they're in the military, etc) and religion. You'd think EVERY SINGLE THING we grew up on, were told, were done to us would be thought about, questioned, doubts voiced, etc. Imo the similarity is 'get them when they're young'. The young people of today have no idea what times were like before all this shit really started. Yeah, they can look at pictures and watch movies but it's not the same thing. Same applies for kids and religion imo. They won't know what it's like to have different religious beliefs or even no religious beliefs at all because they were raised since birth to be of this religion or have these religious thoughts. I think it's rare for people to reach adulthood and break away from either one. "I realized how fucked up this could be and I no longer supported it." Or even something along these lines: "I really started wondering about the truth of this religion. We really do live in a world where lies, shadiness and corruption reign supreme. But somehow my religious book or these religious thoughts are the honest to god truth. They wouldn't mess with our religion!"

This is the post that took my breath away and I mean that. I've felt like an outsider because I realize how insulting it is when I think about it on my own terms. Picture an abusive relationship. This person really heaps it on you and tells you every single day how ugly and stupid you are. And no matter what you do, you'll always be labeled ugly and stupid by this person. I really see no difference between that and being called a sinner. Yes, I admit I've made mistakes in my life. I've said, done and thought things I wish I hadn't said, done or thought. And likewise there's so many things I wish I had said, done and thought.

If it weren't so disturbing I'd probably get a kick out of it and laugh. "You're a sinner, and you are as well, and don't forget that newborn baby over there. All sinners! But this entity loves you anyway." Really? Let's go back to that other example I was talking about earlier: "You're ugly and stupid and you should be thankful I'm with you at all or else you'd have nobody to love you at all." The reply: "*cries* You're right, right about all of it. I'm so ugly and so stupid. I love you so much for putting up with my ugliness and stupidity. Thank you."

Switching to a new topic: The theory about past sin is as stupid to me as the racism topic boiling in the minds of so many. I realize racism is on both sides of the aisle. And yeah, I realize we live in a world where SOME people really do treat the people that are alive now as if we're the ones from the past that committed so much ugliness against people. It pisses me off. The past had a lot of horrors to it and a LOT of people were mistreated. There's no sugarcoating it. I'm not trying to brush it under the rug. I'm just saying that the people of today shouldn't be guilty of the crimes from the past. They're not us, we're not them. Judge the individual for what they've done instead of looking at the skin color and assuming "You've got this color of skin so you must be an evil devil." Feel the exact same way about this payback for 'the sin'. I have no idea if I've been in this world before or how many times I've been in it. It seems like an endless loop of insanity imo. "You're still gonna be punished and paying back for what your early selves did. You will always be paying back." Talk about basically being born in chains.

It's just a sick mindfuck. My feelings truly get stronger with each passing day about how much of a mindfuck it really can be. I want to talk this out and I realize a lot of sides will never get it. The religious people will think I'm the anti-christ and on the opposite are the people that really can't discuss things without it being a simple scoffing of 'cloud fairies' or something like that.

That's why there are tenets in both traditional Christianity and reincarnation I find abhorrent and repellent and byond disgusting.
