Well, you probably don't know right offhand; but there are some strange anomalies in the law regarding the SKS.

For instance: Chinese rifles are not permitted to be fitted with a bayonet, because they wee excluded from the relics and antiquities list.

Russians, Yugos, etc... are allowed to have bayonets.

Chinese rifles are considered to be slightly better quality than later eastern bloc specimens, but have been banned from import since the Clinton era incidents with Norinco.

Agreed. I'm not much for folding stocks, telescopic is more practical on an SKS or AK. If you are that concerned about length get a 7.62 or 5.56 pistol with a 10.5 barrel. Legal as pistols in gun friendly states.

The SKS is some of the best firepower and accuracy for the money. It's a lot more accurate than the AK.

My WASR will hit 8" plates at 400 yards. Can you shoot that well?
