Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 36344022 United States 09/14/2015 01:54 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | a GLP'er with video! 5 stars. Quoting: Grove Street looks bad for that area.. I know that area. my family used to vacation up in that area as a kid. looks bleak for that area unfortunately. I can't imagine being in that situation. Perhaps a silver lining could be job creation from all the new construction that will need to take place. Really is the craps though....and school recently started. |
Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 36344022 United States 09/14/2015 01:56 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Oh, that's not me. When I was a kid my Dad drove his motorcycle with me on the back, down a country road that had fires blazing on both sides,...scared the hell out of me and burned my back pretty good. My Dad was sort of wild (dumb) when he was younger. |

A few years back, I had a dream I was heading back home from Marysville and saw my hills on fire, like a long orange line of fire working its way through and heading in direction of Marysville. This morning, we woke up and the smoke had dropped very thick and smelled strong. I got nauseated while coming back inside from feeding and securing my hens. I started to worry, thinking some fire in my area may have started and the smoke was made thick. But, checked the fire sites and none at the time. Our hearts go out to those poor people losing their homes and animals. Sure, folks say stuff can be replaced, but still, there are things no insurance company can replace such as family heirlooms, photos, etc. that you have kept safe otherwise for so many years. I bet that was terrifying for that guy driving out of there. Just cannot imagine the fear. |

I saved all our pictures and important docs electronically and have them on a HDD at a bank. But jewelry and other sentimental items would be gone for sure. Gosh,...to have to start from scratch....I can't fathom. Hopefully most had some kind of insurance. |

TwoInThePink User ID: 69635139 United States 09/14/2015 02:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Something came to mind just now. Does it seem "they" are trying to get us folks out of this hills by forcing us via fires? I am thinking so. There is so much to seriously distract folks...fires, refugees, weird laws passed, illegal immigrants, etc. There must be still something even worse around the corner they are trying to draw our attention away from. Quoting: TripleReiki Um... NO? We have a serious issue here in CA.... Drought is worst in years, Southeast of Fresno wells are BONE DRY. No water to fight fire, bodies of water air units used to count on for fill up points are dry, as well as ground units who use drafting systems to set up water tanks if you will.... There is no water to fight these fires. We knew from the start of this year it was going to be a bad deal for fires. We knew that it was not going to be pleasant. This is no conspiracy. The weather patterns of the last few years are, this, no. We have just a few of the tanker planes you see on TV dropping retardant.... So even though retardant is available, or more so than water is now, we don't have the units. Distraction? Hundreds and thousands are evacuated, from two fires now. Look at some pictures of the homes destroyed already in the last 48 hours this fire has been breathing, you tell me that's a distraction. My penis extension can save my life. What can yours do? One in the stink. |

Quoting: wait....what? It tends to go like this: You have 10 minutes to get as much as you can, then we're gone. There is usually a timeframe given, and sometimes it can be as little as 5 minutes. This is not city life up there, many have land and horses and livestock. They allow them time, and it is up to their efficiency what they bring. Most have time to hook up their trailers and get their horses out, and their pets yes. If I can find it I will post up the show of El Dorado County Cops they did a show during the fires of last year - where the cops are assisting in the evacuations and it shows exactly this. Sheriffs even assisting families hooking up their haulers/trailers. Getting the horses in the trailers. My penis extension can save my life. What can yours do? One in the stink. |
