You have a choice in what you reincarnate back as. Having been human, why would a soul regress?

Animals don't house the human soul. Animals actually don't have souls, they have a subconscious and a normal consciousness like we do....but no soul.

If it works like karma is said to work, then those who have kept their dogs tied up in the back yard day in day out year after year will have to come back as a dog tied up in the back yard.

People get soul and spirit mixed up. Spirit is the energy, soul is the personality and the way a lifeform is and behaves. Everything has spirit, because all that exist is some form of energy.

Yes. and souls evolve via reincarnation in a separate evolution from the physical body evolution known as Darwinism. Soul evolution seems to be faster, not requiring hundreds of millions of years.

spirit is the energy in all that exists. Everything existing has movement and thats the life or spirit. When a person dies their energy goes off from the body or house which then decomposes and that too is the work of energy invisibles and visible creatures. Energy never dies, it just changes its form. This is where reincarnation comes in place, they do come back again and again. The soul is not the spirit, the soul is personality and intellect. That which we are and live as.

Agreed.Each Kingdom reincarnates into its own.Humans do not become animals or vise versa.

Assuming evolution is true then it seems incarnation is limited by biological forms (at least on Earth). For those that say humans have a soul and animals don't what were these humans souls doing 6 million years ago?

How can you be sure it would be a regression? As humans, we cannot hope to even imagine what it would be like to be a bird, or a dolphin, or a cricket.

The spirit is the energy that never dies, when the body dies and decomposes the spirit just needs another body to prove it is still existing.
