The Confederate flag isn't about supporting slavery or oppressing blacks. It's about valuing freedom, private property, and life itself. It stands against communism and other forms of governmental slavery. The cross of the flag is a symbol of Saint Andrew's Cross. In essence, this is the flag of modern Christianity. Jesus wasn't well accepted, and neither is this flag... mostly due to misinformation and misunderstandings. Other nations have similar flags! Most blacks were taught the hateful doctrine of racism which associated the Confederate flag with their ancestors slavery in USA. Slavery exists in many different forms now, so abolishing slavery really only transformed it. All types of people get enslaved one way or another. Many blacks willingly fought for the South. The northern states had done away with slavery because they found it was not profitable in their new industrial society. When they did away with slavery there was not a mass emancipation of the slaves as the slaves were simply sold in the south to recuperate heir financial investment in the slaves.

The North found it more profitable to import European immigrants on labor contracts. These Europeans would work 16 hours a day and more for pennies a day. They would live in poverty in company housing and would be charged for it along with shopping in company stores they mostly did on credit putting them deeper in debt. In fact the word "ghetto" is Polish and described the areas the Polish people had to live in endless debt slavery.

another Northern motive was they did not want blacks living among them. Many northern states made laws prohibiting blacks from entering their states. Massachusetts passed a law saying if a negro entered their state and stayed more than 2 months then they would be publicly flogged

Many Northern states complained that whites were having to compete with negros for jobs.

Every slave that came into the U.S. came in on a northern built, owned and operated slave ship. slave ships always came to northern ports like Boston and N.Y. Then the slaves were separated and put on smaller ships to take them to market in the south.

90 percent of the southern people never owned slaved. all the slaves resided on large plantations. Plantations were the big corporations of that time. Many plantations were owned by northerners with serious money backing them. It was not unusual for a plantation to have 1,500 slaves. These same money investors also owned plantations on Caribbean Islands.

Many of the large Southern plantation owners did not favor secession. Under the existing Constitution, slavery was protected and could not be infringed upon. Remember that it was the U.S. flag that flew over slavery for 89 years. The Confederacy on existed for 4 years.
