No one can say what would constitute a "victory" there. Clearly, U.S. troops are behaving as security guards, protecting something; rather than a military force taking and hiding territory. Prior to the U.S. invasion in 2001, the Taliban had completely eradicated opium production in Afghanistan during their brief 6-year rule. Opium is why we're there. I feel very sorry for anyone whose relative or friend in the U.S. military was sent there and was killed. This country needs an enema. |

First thing we did when we got there was post a Marine guard for the poppy crops, best place to grow it.
