It is quite possible Karma is not something that looms over you waiting to exact vengeance, but more of a subtle influence of reality based on your current reflection or frequency of being.

In other words, if you are being violent you will attract violence.

Yes. My ex-husband left me and my then 8 month old son for an 18yo drug whore. We were 28 at the time. The next month he gets busted with her in a drug sting and gets 5 years in federal prison. Karma struck swift and harsh on his ass.

An old friend and I went on a 8 day vacation half way around the world. The first night we were there, we were running across a one way narrow street for a bus after shopping. I didn't look, and boom!! ... a motor bike, who had the right of way, hit me. I was lucky because there was a car behind him. Glad the car didn't hit me!

I had a coat on, fell sideways, so the injury I had was a whiplash to my neck. If you've ever suffered whiplash, you would know what the neck and headache feel like. ARGH! Horrible! Besides, we had just flown 14 non-stop hours that day, so I was exhausted.

My friend laughed at me all that evening and also the next morning. She called me "grandma," and said she would have to have to hold my hand for the rest of the vacation. I didn't say anything to her, but I felt she was being hurtful and rude.

The next day, (2nd day of the trip), we had a guide take us sightseeing. A few hours later, as we exited the Forbidden City in Beijing, she fell onto her wrist. Her hand and wrist immediately swelled; she was in pain. Once back at the hotel, she visited a pharmacy. They made a splint out of cardboard and she bought a sling for her arm. She had to use the sling for the remainder of our trip. She never mentioned my accident one more time.

I felt that was karma.

My father went and jump started a vehicle before going into a casino to eat which delayed his arrival to the crab leg buffet by a few minutes.. some older gentlemen next to him in line gave him a free meal pass for the buffet just out of the blue.

It may have been a random occurrence but it stuck with me...

Re: Any one ever witness Karma first hand?
On my graduation day of high school, I found a $500 football ring sitting on the bathroom counter. I was alone so I took it instead of turning it in. A year later, I ended up losing a ring given to me by my mom, in a Walmart bathroom. It's like something made me take it off.

In December I stole some liquor from my family. On Christmas, I got a quart of rum, and ended up accidentally spilling the entire bottle.

I also stole several grams of of marijuana from my brother. One day I went to plug in my portable vaporizer, and accidentally used the wrong charger and fried the charging circuit.

It works the other way too. I have had Karma do some really nice things for me, when I am feeling love in my heart and being friendly.

Karma has been surprisingly specific for me. It almost seems conscious and playful at times.

Yes. Back when I was in the Army I was stationed in Korea. Before I shipped off there I was dating this girl and she lied to me and told me she was pregnant so naturally I sent her some money to help pay for things. When I got home I found out she was lying and about a month later she got into a horrible car accident and gets to spend the rest of her life in a wheelchair. Moral of the story .. don't fuck with the universe.

Exactly. It is a series of small steps linked to your honor. It is not going to make it that easy that it jumps out and says here I am. You have to search for it by observing yourself and how your actions affect others you come into contact with.

When you understand yourself and your powers of interaction, then you can see karma.

But weren't you actually watching YOUR karma and not his? What have you done to be in your current state? Now you have another you must guide to becoming an adult and you're by yourself. That doesn't sound like a happy road.

I wonder what karma does when you take delight in another's pain?

Re: Any one ever witness Karma first hand?
no such a thing as Karma, the way you think it is.
universe works on principle of action/reaction or cause and effect. However universe is so complex that sffect of a cause in majority of cases are not recognisable.
What you claim as Karma is simply coincidence. That is why it does not happen every single time.

I think chaos theory is more accurate. Your condition/thoughts can trigger off an avalanche of personal doom and gloom if you're not balanced.

It seems to in my case. Often feels like some sort of super-conscious entity is behind it.

It appears this entity has good intentions, and tries to make sure I stay on the right path. It only screws me over when I do something bad, and is always fair. Even does some really nice things sometimes.

Technically I agreed to it. I once said "I would rather be tormented and punished into enlightenment, than never punished and allowed to fall into self-destruction".

Whatever it is, I don't want to to leave. I'd be screwed without it.

I don't think any of you have a clue on how karma is "supposed" to work. I say that, because it doesn't. It only affects your next life. So that little 10 year old girl who dies of cancer was because in her past life she was a Nazi.

Makes sense.

I got stopped by a highway patrol officer for not having a seatbelt on. The only thing I was doing wrong. When he went to write the ticket his seatbelt had jammed in his door. For the next 2 minutes I watched him try to open his door with a stuck seatbelt. He even told me it was ironic.

My regret is not having a camera. The youtube profits would have paid for the ticket and then some.

Maybe that 10yo girl offered to be put in that body in the beginning so you wouldn't have to and she did it out of love for YOU?

Makes sense, too. Life is what we believe it to be.

More on topic:
My old boss that fired me called the tech company I was going to and told them if they hired me, that he'd pull all their business from the contracting company, so that tech company dropped me like a bag of rocks.

Fast forward 8 months later when my old boss was fired, HE tried going to another tech contract company that then called ME because they saw we worked at the same place/same time -- They wanted me to give them some insight to my old boss and how 'hard of a worker' he was.

Karma works -- But it's not very often you get to take part in its execution, too. :)

Re: Any one ever witness Karma first hand?
I found out my husband was having an affair with someone in Mexico for a year or so. After I caught him, he packed his stuff left left me and my 10 yr. Old daughter. He flew to Mexico on a Sunday. I called him on Tuesday and we fought over the phone. I told him he was acting like a damn teenager and he needs to come back home and help take care of our daughter. He hung up on me. That night, I received a phone call from Mexico. My husband and his girlfriend went to the beach with others. They were drinking. My husband and girlfriend were in the back bed of a pickup truck. They lost control of the truck the my husband was thrown forward and ran over by the same truck he was in. The truck dragged him underneath until they hit a tree. Not sure how, he survived. He was all twisted in the axel of the truck. He was in an induced coma for a month. This happened in 2009 and he is still having problems to this day. Everyone tells me that was the quickest karma they have ever seen.

Many times, once, when I was really, really, really intoxicated, two ass hats mugged me(only got pocket change as the big bills I dropped on the ground and stepped on them, as I emptied my pockets), week later, a friend of a friend, ran into them, and sent them to the ER.

A feminist scumbag, ended up dropping out of college(that made life a little easier). I couldn't stand her, and even tested her once(there was a large spider on her car door, and she screamed for me to "remove it for her", as I was leaving at the same time, at first I was going to tell her to pound sand, but I was curious. So I went over and knocked the spider onto the ground only, seeing how she would respond, when something she placed in a position of power above her by fearing it, was placed lower then her. She proceeded to hunt the critter down, and kill it).

Beyond that, anyone who ever wronged me, ended up falling before me, without me having to lift a finger.

Re: Any one ever witness Karma first hand?
Saw a woman & her daughter walking in a pedestrian area. Daughter was texting while walking, the mom got irritated & smacked the phone out of her daughter's hand and said to pay attention. Daughter bent to grab the phone & the mom continued walking with a smirk on her face, then tripped when she glanced back to look at her daughter. She landed on all fours too.
