Was expecting a 30 second clip of a deer following a human. Ended up with an epic tale of love, loss, heartbreak, hope and happiness.

If you visit the grand canyon nearby is a deer farm .they have a lot of deer from different countries .it's a cool way to spend some time .

Anyone know where this video was taken? We have game laws for a reason -- and you can't just "rescue" a deer unless you have the proper permits.

I'm sure the local fish and wildlife authorities would like to know about this ...

Requesting deer calfs gets done a lot by stupid people.

Not saying this guy was, but a lot of people see a deer calf alone and assume it was abandoned, or get to close to it to check, which means it will get abandoned because the smell around the spot is tainted.

Deer calfs can be alone for up to 12 hours or more, and the mother often stays away from the calf for a very long time. The mothers milk is so concentrated they can survive that long.

So more often then not, that poor deer calf that got left, has a mother that returns to find her calf gone because of uneducated people.
