Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69618315 Watch live: [link to www.space.com] What did they find? Discuss.. I was in mars and when i was there the atmosphere smelled like burnt PC board yes smells as a burnt TV set When astronauts "Officially" get there they will confirm it ! gets weeks to get used to it ... We got rid of it using pure Oxygen air scrub within enclosed spaces.. ( say hi to the queen of mars for me ) |

So far, we don't have a whole lot to go on, but what we do know is that the research comes fRom the MAVEN (Mars, Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution) spacecraft, which has been orbiting Mars since 2014 and studying its upper atmosphere. These will be the first findings announced from the mission. The spacecraft carries eight different sensors on board, including an ion mass spectrometer and a magnetometer, and according to NASA its aim is to: "Determine the role that loss of volatiles from the Mars atmosphere to space has played through time, giving insight into the history of Mars' atmosphere and climate, liquid water, and planetary habitability." That last point is a particular favourite among those speculating on the outcome of the announcement on Twitter at the moment, but unfortunately we have nothing concrete to back up the idea that the announcement is to do with the potential for past or future life on Mars. "I believe we all have the Voice of Reason inside us...to gently lead us out of our own self-created hells..." "Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. How about you make you lies a little bit more palatable. Tell us about when did this event occur? Anyways if Mars had a dynamic magnetic core and volcanoes than its atmosphere would have regenerated itself long ago...just saying. |
