Anonymous Coward User ID: 70461462 United Kingdom 11/08/2015 07:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | hopefully they find wonderful new homes on private ranches with big green pastures Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1422639 no, they will be packed on ships headed to China, where they will be skinned alive and eaten ... i was thinking the same thing... those fucking chinks will eat ANYTHING that moves... doesnt matter what it is... |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 1422639 United States 11/08/2015 07:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | plus that land is unusable for row crops but makes good beef grazing land at low density, if the horses find good ranches to live on, it can be a good thing. I dont think there is any mal intent in using the land to strengthen our food supply with cattle. |

They take them to auction in Livingston, Nevada. Most are sold for food to Canada and Mexico. I used to live in Alturas, California near the devil's playground and ranchers and feds waged war on the wild herds. They will trap them for free on private land if you ask the forest service. |

Have you seen a cattle farm? have you seen the 2 of 3 obese adults? shortening of time before one has heart problems and cancer rates? We eat way too much meat already, specifically beef. Conventionally raised cattle are destroying this country's lands. That is the problem. the wild horses will proliferate at great rates. the lands will be damaged for decades if not more than a century after conventional agriculture and livestock touch it. |

I hope the horses are sold for slaughter. I meat, if that much meat is going to be killed, better some use gets used from it, then just making glue. A lot more counties eat horse meat then you'd think. Horse meat is popular in places like Italy, France, Australia, Poland and even in Canada. It's not a staple, more a luxury meat in the countries I listed. But it's eaten enough to have a commercial market for it. When it comes to food, an animal is an animal. Honestly, I think cows have more "feelings" and "thoughts" then horses. In America we just don't eat things we think of as pets. It makes us feel good not to eat Fido. But honestly, there's no reason not to eat dog, cat, horse, or even guinea pigs. Other then it's taboo and society says we can't. When the apocalypse comes, you and everyone you know will eat any meat to survive, even NYC sewer rats. Yes dipshot. Im a farmer. The cows on the farm behind mine graze at 1+ acre each and live on a beautiful piece of land and will make hundreds of servings of delicious beef each, lives spent looking at birds and hanging around roaming freely under this or that favorite tree. The cattle on that land will roam freely and hve acres per head. If you want to feel bad at how gods creatures are kept look at manhattan or detroit or hawaii and look at the desperate poverty and desperate riches stacked in stables to the sky with HUMANS |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1393164 United States 11/08/2015 08:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | it's just evil and wrong. if people want to protest shit, the destruction of these beautiful animals should be it. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 60190018 Theres nothing to protest. If you think this is the evilest thing in your world, buy an undeveloped piece of land and save some of them. BLM would be happy for you to board them in any state on your fenced property. |
