No need to be nasty, just tell them services no longer required and health insurance cancelled.

Tell them now so they don't go out now spending money and getting in debt for things they won't be able to pay for without a job.

And then it will be posted as breaking news here on GLP by one of us, and someone will ask, "Hey, wasn't there someone on here talking about doing that a while back?"

Don't do it!

I would do it after the Christmas break. Start the new year by ringing out the old lackluster employees. Your other good employees won't be bummed out so much by it that way.

This is your third thread on this "subject", OP, haven't you had enough indulgence of your moranic fantasies yet?

Re: Best time to terminate lackluster employees Christmas Eve, or just call them Christmas Day and tell them not to return
The best time is when it's time, i.e. they are not meeting expectations, certainly NOT a holiday. Wtf.
Hell, did yeah even let them know they weren't meeting expectations and give them a chance to turn it around? I'm guessing, probably not...not if you're posting something like this.

Shameful to terminate them on a holiday, shameful.
