Re: Please help. Been in Crirical Care Unit for one Week
Been somewhat of a lurker here for years. Long story short, I had a pancreatic attack a week ago which Sent me to ER. Most intense pain I've ever experienced. Most docs will agree. They ended up sending me to ICU as I had a high fever. Part of My pancreas is necrotic. I've been on strongest anti biotics known but my white cell count is hovering around 23k.
Being tube fed past the pancreas

Anyone fellow GLP'ers ever have really bad pancreatitis? Any thoughts on the 23k white count?

If nothing else, thoughts and prayers are appreciated.

I humbly request a pine....maybe it will keep me from carshing

Yeah the pain of necrosis is a bitch.

I too have had necrosis recently and it almost did me in. My left hip bone is totally gone absorbed by my body. The doctors are not sure why. I wonder how prevalent necrosis is recently. It seems that many people are suffering the same ailments. End times, sign of the times ,whatever you want to call it.

But my blood white count also went higher. Now because of the Big d Brother govt. I have a hard time getting pain meds, and vicodin sucks now since the govt mandated "reformulation" bunch of edqsnot nosed kids running our nation.

The pain will hopefully get better for you as the body adjusts to the dead areas. The doctors aren't sure why mine got necrotic either. Many think it was the 40mg of prednisone I have been on for 3 years? Not quite sure about that. Prednisone is a bitch too. Many can't handle it long term and choose to off themselves. i almost dod it myself a year ago...lucky jam I guess. But the overall pain finally got better with time.

Hope you get to feeling better.

Issues regarding the pancreas comes for two major sources.

1. Long term consumption of highly sugary foods.

2. Viral attacks.

In #1 the pancreas is put under a heavy work load and eventually exhausts itself to the point of inefficient functioning.

In #2 the pancreas is invaded by a viral body and it stays there multiplying, until the immune system decides to attack the invasion.

My guess is #2 happened to you (especially since the fever and white blood cell count you gave). Antibiotics will probably not help. And it will simply take a week or 2 for your immune system to kill off the invasion.

But there is a down side. During your body's natural defenses attempt to rid of the viral invasion, it will take out a portion of the pancreas inhabited by the viral load. You will become either type 1 or type 2 diabetic .... depending on the extent of the damage.

Monitor your blood sugar levels closely for the next 6 months.

Pancreas is a bitch.

I would recommend curcuma, because its very good for fibruos/necrotic tissues. It promotes tissue regeneration, for example it cured the mother of my wife that had fibrous cysts in her lungs for years and always coughing, after some months taking curcuma, she hasnt had problems for 2 years.

Apples, apples are super healthy and help to clean the liver and gallblader thanks to the malic acid.

Best of luck!

DEMAND that your doctor start you on a minimum of 60 GRAMS a day of IV Sodium Ascorbate, it is the IV form of Vitamin C.

Normal saline 400ml
add 60 grams pharmaceutical grade sodium ascorbate crystals.
add 100 ml Sterile water for injection.

Take it in a 2 hour drip.

IT CANNOT HARM YOU!

On the recommendation of a toxicologist/pathologist friend that ran a huge drug testing laboratory, when I was diagnosed with Lymphoma in 2009 I started on it.

On the morning of the 4th day I woke up and everything was exceptionally bright, I no longer wear the glasses I wore since age 14, a cataract in my right eye disappeared over night.

Since 2009, I have injected over 25 POUNDS of dissolved sodium ascorbate powder into my veins and I have no symptoms of the lymphoma. My doctor is puzzled that I am still alive.
If the C was going to kill anyone it would have killed me long ago.

It will wipe out the pneumonia and most likely zap whatever is affecting your Pancreas.

People do not know it, but we are supposed to be able to make Vitamin C in our liver, it is supposed to be our first line of defense against disease. In a genetic accident in the deep dark past, primates lost the ability to synthesize the 4th enzyme in a chain of 4 that convert glucose to vitamin c in the liver. Vitamin c is not really a vitamin, it is a liver metabolite. A dog or cat can eat the most vile disgusting rotten crap imaginable and not get sick, their vitamin C attacks the bacteria, then the immune system cleans up the leftovers. It is why most animals can live an entire normal lifespan and not get sick and we are plagued with diseases of all kinds.

This. Take as much vitamin c as you can of the cheap ascorbic acid and have someone overnight you some Liposomal Vitamin C from livon labs. amazon carries it

Vitamin C is nontoxic even in huge quantities and is an excellent virus killer among many other wonderful properties for healing and protecting the body.

Wishing you the best, OP!!!!

Be sure to "allow" for miracles of healing.
Remember about epigenetics...thoughts can control your dna. Good thoughts/relaxation/calm cause healing chemicals to flood your body. "Allow" this to happen. ;-)

So, while you are resting there, remember all the people in glp who are sending good thoughts and prayers.

Gall bladder flushes don't really work that well.

The Truth about Gallbladder and Liver "Flushes"
[link to www.quackwatch.org]

"Actually, there is no way for apple juice or any other agent taken by mouth to come into contact with stones in the gallbladder or bile ducts. A very effective sphincter muscle prevents intestinal contents from leaking back into the bile duct or gallbladder. Thus there is no logical reason to believe that any of the materials consumed in the "flushes" (oils, fruit juices, magnesium sulfate) could soften or otherwise affect the characteristics of gallstones in the gallbladder or bile ducts. Bile salts such as ursodeoxycholic acid can do so, but they must be absorbed into the blood stream and processed by the liver before they can affect the ability of bile to dissolve cholesterol stones—and a minimum of nine months of treatment is usually required. Re: Please help. Been in Crirical Care Unit for one Week
try to reduce the uric acid in your gut.

Must be something going around.

My husband was suddenly rushed to ER for an "explosion" in his gut; followed by pain across his chest (right to left), down his left side and all over in spots of his body. No comments from the docs. It wasnot the heart.

He is working on his acid, and as long as he does that he is fine.

We feel "Gas X" caused the "explosion", because he had complications before going to bed that night. It was the next morning for the "explosion" and rush to the ER, and a day or two in the hospital.

He started taking Gas X, but a different kind was prescribed. I think they were dry tablets. The ones he himself took were the soft gels. They were the only kind they had at Family Dollar. Walmart carries the others.

I havebeen having acid, and baking soda doesnot do what it used to. So iam doing uric acid care, and that is a lot better.

Look up uric acid on Youtube.

Praying for you!!!

*Please* consider Liposomal vitamin c. It is truly amazing. You can make it for pennies at home. (What I do) Although, being in the hospital, you can't make it. There is a company called LivOn Labs (I think that's what they're called). They make a fantastic form of Liposomal vitamin c. A little pricey but WELL WORTH IT! Please consider ordering some.

Got it about a month after I had my gallbladder out. The only thing they could figure was that a gall stone had gotten to it, how I don't know. I was told at the time they normally put you in the hospital for 10 days and intravenously administer fluids. I was allowed to go home but all I could have was liquids for ten days. Recovered without a problem. Prayers that you recover as well.

Re: Please help. Been in Crirical Care Unit for one Week
My son has had pancreatic attacks since he was 17. He is now 29. It's extremely painful!!!

This is what we have learned.

1. Don't get dehydrated. Stay away from caffeine. It seems the pancreas may stop releasing insulin and cause you to get dehydrated. Just before it gets sick.

2. Eat. Going hungry allows all those digestive enzymes that the pancreas produces, amylase, lipase, and tripase, to eat away at itself. So, don't go hungry.

3. Don't eat while it's sick. You need hydration by intravenous fluids and to let it rest.

4 stress will cause attacks.

You need narcotics for pain when you are sick

My daughter was in hospital for 27 days in July, damn near death for a week. Do not listen to any GLP "doctors" on here, it is life and death. The best treatment is to not eat or drink anything, follow doctors orders to a tee. Good luck.
 Quoting: Desert Fox

I agree with this 150%. Pancreatitis is very serious stuff. You need to listen to the ACTUAL doctors in the hospital & heed their advice/suggestions to the letter. Eating/drinking anything at all can screw you up bad. I am sure many people here mean well, but this is YOUR life we're talking about.

23K WBC count is pretty high the approximate normal range should be 4,500-10,000 white blood cells per mm3. Pancreatitis is very painful, I hope the doctors get it under control for you.

I went to the emergency last month with extreme pain in the same area. Had an ultrasound done the result gallbladder polyps and the blood test elevated WBC count. Although my issue not as serious as what you have going on I can sympathize and hoping the best with a speedy recovery.
