If this really is true, then some big brass should be fired. If the US runs out of ammo fighting terrorist scum then how on earth would it defeat a REAL military like Russia or North Korea? The US would be rolled over by conscripts with old AK47 with fixed bayonets on day three of any REAL battle or war when the outnumbered US grunts have no aircover. When the F16 and F18 and F15 and Apaches run out of ammo, the Russkie or Nork or Chicom swarms will just overrun.

Of course, this story is bullshit. Its designed to do two things. One, reinforce in the plebeian citizen mind that ISIS has been hit hard and two, a cover for increasing warstocks for WW3.

I also think the low oil prices have been done on purpose to create a 'glut' and 'oversupply' and every tank and underground cavern have been filled in the US as warstock.

There was even a story recently of the US buying more F16/F18 as a 'stop gap' until F35 can be ramped up.
