Why Do Conservatives Think Martial Law & A Police State Will Benefit THEM? | |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 70995233 Furthermore, everytime I turn on the news it's either White Conservatives of ISIS screaming Death to America and shooting or blowing people up. I would think Martial Law and a Police state would be a Conservatives greatest fear since they would refuse to let you play the "If you can't beat'em join'em" game White people love to play. They'd just crack your skull and tell you to Shelter In Place. Well? Newsflash, Goober. Most of the batshit crazy shooters have been democrats. Second, the Military actually resembles the make up of the general population, as far as race is concerned. Roughly. Third, nobody I know wants Martial Law, or a Police State. I think what you're picking up is that most conservatives believe in the military, and the police. They, to a fault, give them the benefit of the doubt. They believe them to be honorable people, or they wouldn't go into that line of work. Not too terribly long ago, they'd have been broadly correct. But, things are changing, and they're not paying attention. In short, you're wrong. What you're seeing is trust, not an endorsement. Misplaced, though it may be. |
