Animal instinct???? How do humans and animals have 'instinct'......

When we see a baby Lion attack it's sibling, how does it know how to do this, is the answer instinct?

When a new born baby, is put at its mothers breast why does it suckle for milk, instinct again??

Baby's can swim without being taught, things happen thay the answer 'programming' would be better than 'instinct'.
