Animal instinct???? How do humans and animals have 'instinct'......
When we see a baby Lion attack it's sibling, how does it know how to do this, is the answer instinct?

When a new born baby, is put at its mothers breast why does it suckle for milk, instinct again??

in‧stinct1 [in-stingkt] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation

2. a natural or innate impulse, inclination, or tendency.
3. a natural aptitude or gift: an instinct for making money.
4. natural intuitive power.

If you were to replace the answers of the first two questions with, programming.

13. to cause to absorb or incorporate automatic responses, attitudes, or the like; condition: Our parents programmed us to respect our elders.
14. to set, regulate, or modify so as to produce a specific response or reaction: Program your eating habits to eliminate sweets.
15. to plan or write a program

Would it be possible to believe that we have prgrams to do certain things built within us?

Baby's can swim without being taught, things happen thay the answer 'programming' would be better than 'instinct'.

I think that this is possible and that it offers a decent explanation into how animals behave and indeed how humans behave, programing.

So, doesn't that indicate a "Programmer" ?

I have never met an atheist who could actually EXPLAIN why birds fly South for the Winter.Their survival depends on it, but they lack the brain capacity to understand why they are doing it.

What explanation is there, other than God ?

I think 'instinct' is genetic. It's been proven that fetuses mimic suckling while they're still in the womb and not exposed to external stimuli, so there definitely has to be some kind of genetic reason for it.

Thanks for the link, but I think it proves MY point.

Logically, how could a bird fly THOUSANDS of miles away, and then later be able to return to its EXACT SAME nesting spot ?

This would be difficult for a HUMAN to do without maps, GPS, etc.

Not to mentions that birds have...well, a BIRDBRAIN.

God's plan explains it all.

Are we to believe that "Mother Nature" ( whatever that is ) endowed birds with an "internal clock" ( whatever that is ) ?

Anyway, if they DID have an internal clock, at least it wouldn't be an

EXTERNAL CLOCK

like that idiot on "Flavor of Love".

you're bang on the dot there. and further as another poster pointed out, programs do insinuate the existence of a "programmer".
