Star Wars // 'Dark' Side everything // People only associate with the Dark Side. Are there any Jedi's left?

Well, with the new movie, people have begun to associate the Jedi "light side" with liberal PC bullshit.

So, it makes sense that people psychologically reject it and choose the opposing side.

I think you read too much into it. Of course fans will choose merch from the Dark Side, the Jedi just don't have enough props to associate to. And the Empire for example, and now the First Order - they have a very pronounced visual aesthetic, that is instantly recognizable, and as such is easy to understand why a fan, wanting to be an obvious fan, will choose something visually screaming "STAR WARS", instead of dressing themselves in earth-toned rags, which can be anything.

If you read the books (and this is carried through to the movies) the jedi are bumbling fools for the most part. Dark side users are largely the ones in control. They are the ones dictating events. So it makes some sense as to why people might favor dark side characters.

I saw the Yogananda movie. It was really good. I feel bad for the people that trusted him. And became completely controlled. I guess the old Yogi masters have always been aware of 'mind control'.

There is a saying that your Yoga Guru will see through 'your eyes'. In the Yogananda movie it was easy to see how he brain washed all the rich white people to give him all their money. And now The Yogananda foundation is rich!
