If technology was developed that allowed information about events a few hours into the future to be retrieved and transmitted backwards in time a few hrs, then one could obviously pick the winning numbers, make it look genuine and then distribute the money to the rich elite and governments that run the time travel project, in order to fund it indefinitely.

So they dont even need to send people through time, just a probe....

Im just thinking, what with the sightings of things emerging from black holes and such, and with the LHC, and with off the record black project military industrial complex operations...

It would be an awesome way to fund their operations.

I think going back in time to win the lottery qualifies as one of the do nots of time travel.

Nobody needs to physically travel in time. Only an electronic probe. in fact all they need to do is retrieve data from the near future and decode it.

If anyone that reads this thread has ever had a precognition or premonition of a near future event, then that is proof to you that it is possible to obtain data from the future.. I have done it twice, whilst awake, (one very clear and specific involving numbers of an exam marking), and several times, fuzzy and not so clear whilst dreaming..

its happened already OP.

they sent satellites around the earth, those that traversed too fast started sending back information from the future.

If at some point in the future time travel becomes possible, then it exist now and always has.

Hows this for a twist.

The future is always moving due to the uncertainty principle.

So such a probe would still only produce probabilities not certainties...

But what IF...

They had worked out a way to send info BACK in time by a few days and just sent the info back to themselves?

Its possible theoreticly..as the past is set in stone.

The people watching the numbers drop..thus setting the outckme in stone..then send the info backwards..and..they have a certain win.

I know i cant exactly prove this by experiment. But i know for a fact i have experienced flashes of an event clearly in my head from minutes into the future.... So what if the governmnet use highly trained psychics to simply remote view the powerball numbers... That way they can setup a fake agent to pick the numbers, win the money and secretly funnel off the winnings to the government or the ruling elite or whoever.
They also get the tax revenue right away, as a bonus, as we all know.

Re: IF time travel were possible even slightly - then the lottery could be rigged
And i predict there is a way to actually prove if the lottery is being or has been tampered with this way.

Its still possible for say a random verifiable genuine person in say Australia to pick the winning powerball numbers... Now for the elite and their time travel project this is not ideal, they loose a lot of money to some random person that is not associated with them.

Its much easier for the elite if there is only one winner, their special agent using their data from the future.

It would be worth potential billions in the long run, if the elite could guarantee that only their agents won the jackpots and did not have to share the winnings.

There are two things they could do... One set up a steep TAX on the winnings, so as to mitigate the looses.

And the other would be to use other measures to prevent other people from picking the winning numbers...

It was only the other week in the UK that a person chose the winning numbers on a large jackpot but their online purchase DID NOT GO THROUGH. They were somehow blocked by the system..

Well i'll leave you to think about it.

It would not be hard or beyond present technology to rig the lottery. If you can read you will see where the head of the lottery recently quietly resigned. Why do you that is so??? People can rid slot machines to pay off and it happens frequently. It is simply a matter of affecting the random number generator. The masses are ignorant. Do some basic snooping and you will see some funny stuff with the huge lotteries. Anywhere there is money to be made there will be corruption. Who is going to go after these criminals. No one. Our justice department??? Pffft

In the UK they don't even release the video of the machine drawing the numbers, until AFTER the draw has taken place.. Its no longer a live draw, which to me makes it very very very highly suspect.

in fact they could have the machine pick the numbers at random, then create a fake but legitimate ticket(by having access to the system) and then release the video of the draw hrs later.....

You guys get out much? They have been arresting people for rigging the lottery, so far the top one has been the head of security for the lotto.
