The signs in the heavens are astronomical alignments of stars, and the mainstream Christian church largely ignores them. It ignores the signs because of its aversion to astrology. It is correct to be averse to pagan astrology but believing stars were placed in the heavens as sign markers is scriptural. Genesis 1: 14 Then Elohim said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; Tradition states Daniel studied astronomy and it helped him understand prophetic calculations. The Magi from the east knew how to read these signs, and it led them to the Maschiach. It is believed Daniel studied under like Magis. The Bible itself gives two examples of "signs in the heavens" - Joshua's Long Day, and Hezekiah's Retreating Sundial Shadow. Both were cause by what people on GLP refer to as a "pole shift", caused by a passing planet-sized comet. |
