I am from Ireland. Ask me a question.
I don't drink. I hate Guinness and I don't grow potatoes. Now, ask away.

No. That may be legal in the US but not here. Hope you have a long marriage to yours.

Gypsy. I have Romany relations going back. Not Irish traveller though. Too tall to be a leprechaun.

Always worth a visit to Ireland. But come soon or we will be overrun by immigrants. True Gingers only make up 10% of population.

Yes sort off. Ireland has hundreds of 'fairy forts' - large hedge or tree circles sonetimes in the middle of a field. I have see strange glows from one not far from my house especially in the evening times. When photographed, this glow (greenish blue in colour) never comes out. Weird. There are many stories associated with these circles.

Well they can claim Irish ancestry as a fact but in reality they have as much in common with Ireland as a native American indian would with Japan.

800 years of oppression, genocide and cultural destruction. The result? Every main street in Ireland has a British owned store. Every house has Sky or Virgin media. Every 30 something bloke has a Liverpool or Man Utd shirt on. Everybody speaks english. They won. I hope one day we will reclaim what was once ours.

Cool :) fairy forts...I like that.

One more question...is the IRA still a thing over there? Or is that pretty much a non-issue anymore? I used to hear all kinds of stuff about them in the news, I think back in the 80's, 90's...but it seems like they're not around much anymore. Just curious if any tensions still exist in the Northern Ireland whereabouts, or any ongoing conflicts.

Although they stated the conflict was over and they supposedly decommissioned all of their weapons, they still exist. They have a mainstream politician as the alleged head of their army council. Those opposed to the peace, numbering only a couple of hundred people really, are known as dissident republicans and they still set up the occassional murder or car bomb but this rarely causes problems.

Could be. Superstition remains very strong with these forts. Farmers rarely destroy them in their fields.
