Very interesting. There was something so intense about the sun yesterday, it seemed like it was freaking out, like a light bulb being juiced.

I saw a video like this awhile back. The sun looked to be arching. Sending off flares that could be seen with the naked eye. I have no idea what would cause this. I also felt my skin burning yesterday when it was only about 70 degrees outside. I thought to myself how can my skin be burning when it isnt even hot outside. Felt like it would if it was in the 100's on my skin

A very definite pin request to find out if anyone else was having skin burning or noticed anything wrong with the sun

i think that is just snow blowing across the camera's field of view and reflecting off the sun.. from drifts and stuff

otherwise there would be reports ALL OVER THE PLACE of the sun shooting zaps into the sky

So weird...my mom and I were on the road yesterday on an errand and both noticed how hot the sun felt. Didn't think anyone else took note of it until I read these posts.

Somebody was setting off sparks under their camera. If there were sparks coming from the sun EVERYONE would see it. That's one thing about the sun, EVERYBODY CAN SEE IT ! So if anything unusual happens we'll all notice at once.

I did get a faint pink 'burn' from sitting outside at lunch yesterday. Today, too.

But I am still going to try and replicate this myself with my own phone.

Here's an older one that is similar but much less spectacular.

So I tried several times -- no weird lightning effects on my video, however... no solar flares happening when I did it either. Did anyone get a screenshot of solar flare / xray flux activity during the timeframe that this was happening? That would be useful info to have -- goes is already moved on to the 17th of Feb, so 16th data is not readable anymore, and Archive.org only has data from the 15th or the 17th available. Isn't that convenient?
