When someone is unhappy they like to spread it around- and married to a rage person- well it will be a roller coaster unless you have all your ducks in a row as the saying goes. #1) get your own checking account and don't tell him - and put one or more credit cards in your name only. Get some cash he can't get too. You will need it for a deposit on a rental and first months rent. #2) do some research. Make sure everything from YOUR family is written down. I had a family heirloom piano! Do you have jewelry photos antiques or furniture from your family- put it in storage bin. (He can put a lien on it if his la yer finds it - so think) #3) whatever you love- that's what he will keep. My my ex came over one day I wasn't home and stole the dog. Sigh. #4) make a list - one side what you will keep the other what he gets and have h SIGN it. This will be basis for lawyer of troubles. Lawyers are expensive but eventually you will get one so have all agreements signed. #5) get an address where important legal docents can be sent- and change your address- a PO box is good- he won't give you your mail. #6) no matter what do good at work and get a raise- and keep that job. #7) copy and put in safe deposit or safe place ALL legal papers- your marriage license- birth certificate -passport- drivers license- auto title- house or rental papers. He may not give th when you need them. Did you sign for the Lease? Or mortgage? You may have to pay even if you move out! Get copies of everything you ever signed - or proof you did not. Good luck |

I married my father, how fun is that? Can I just go down to the courthouse and file? Or do I have to get a special paper filled out first? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 59228281 You can get an uncontested divorce if he signs the paperwork and you both agree on everything. All you have to do is make sure that he's on board before you file. If everything's in order it's a pretty straight forward process that usually takes about 6 months. I just got mine and had absolutely no issues whatsoever. |

Have you told him that you were contemplating ending the marriage?..maybe he's not taking you seriously..also..not to be a dick...but sometimes ..there is a cause and effect for "rage".. Are there things you could be doing differently ..or not doing to piss him off?..now if you mean by " rage" physical abuse..disregard..no excuse But if you mean yelling etc..contrary to popular belief.. Most guys are chill..but there are trigger points that will piss us off Stand up and speak for truth..even when it's not popular.. |
