The way they talk amuses me for some reason. I do find the "hoser" Canadian accent pretty funny too - but I get to hear that at least five times a day here in southern Ontario so it's losing it's entertaining me less and less.

I am of Scottish descent, as well as Jew and Choctaw, bu my ancestors probably came over before yours. As odd as it made seem, some were Covenanters of good family sent over in the 17th C. and many were Jacobite prisoners sold in America after 1745.

What exactly is a New England accent? There is no such thing as a New England accent, you moran. You are probably referring to a Boston/Eastern Massachusetts (parts of southern coastal Maine) accent. People in rural western MA, most of New Hampshire, Vermont, CT, RI, etc., don't have that accent.

And yes, it's aboot. Some Canadians swear it's aboat, but it's aboot.
