As for working for them, that is why the mass illegal immigration into Europe and the USA is occurring, more suckers to pay into the rotting, filthy and corrupt system. Just look at the population reproduction rates of old Europe and you will know why they are allowing the migrants in. Unfortunately, the migrants will feed them to the pigs first. |

Greece is a perfect example of narcissism infecting an entire country. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71874828 Retired at fifty-five. Will draw free money for 40 years... Shhhhhhhhhhhhh! The Baby Boomers don't want people to think that way. They want you to think they are about to die within 5 years of getting social security. That's the way the benefit was originally sold. They don't want you to realize they will be on social security up to 30 years or more. Now you really exposed their narcissism. |

Tree of Life User ID: 5713297 United States 03/26/2016 01:00 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You have no concept of what it means to invest in your future. That is why you won't amount to shit in your lives if you don't start some financial changes. I and most of my boomer counterparts paid an average of 300k into our social security accounts over our careers. It is not an entitlement, it is an investment. And, I for one, totally intend to collect every cent, after all it is my money. It should not be used for the other purposes our crooked govt. is using it for, they are criminals to steal an old persons money like that. You youngsters need to respect your elders and learn from them, not blame them for the govt. criminality. These threads that bash each age group are designed to take the heat off of the gvt. crooks, so we will fight amongst ourselves and not go after the real perpetrators here. Wise the fock up and don't let them fool you...they will be stealing your money next. We need to take our country back from the crooks, not fight between the generations. So far I have paid over 200k into social security. If you fuckers think SS is an entitlement and take away what I sweated and bled for for the past 36 years, You are going to have a war you can't win. We are old and don't really give a shit anymore. A young person will fight you, an old guy with everything on the line will just shoot you. |

All most all boomers were given a life. If minimum wage and all wages went up with inflation and property rates minimum wage would be 23 bucks an hour. They had jobs that they were not competing with 8 billion people. They didn't have to fight for work. Vehicles are 3 times as much. Interest rates were substantially lower. Taxes were half as much. Then these greedy fucks retire and decide to go back to work and take jobs away from the younger generation. If they just recognized that we have it way worse than them we would probably respect them more |

The entitlement mentality of this baby boomer generation is never ending. They actually think you all need to go earn more money so they can get it back in their pay checks. Quoting: thankfulnotbabyboomer 66000184 I don't know how many times I have to tell you young idiots that Social Security is NOT an entitlement program. It won't be for you either if you're working, because SS is deducted from your paycheck for as long as you work. So people who are now retired get the SS that they paid for over 30 or 40 years of steady employment. Everyone who works pays into Social Security. It's an automatic deduction. Some retirees are lucky to have a retirement plan from their jobs in addition to Social Security so their retirement income is a good one. Those of us who have only SS must live very frugally. We also pay for Medicare and a supplement, which these days takes up a whole lot of SS monthly payment. So stop and think! Someone was either pulling your leg or they are dumber than a bag of rocks. Evidently you're in that bag if you believe them without researching it. This younger generation is so lazy and so gullible it's unbelievable. They'd believe the sky is one large milk shake if someone told them that. |

We pay for our Medicare every month. WE EARNED IT. You young shits don't even want to work and you still live in mom's basement. We live in homes we bought while we were young and working to raise families. If you have a good work ethic and last 30 years on a job, you will retire with your own SS and/or company retirement plan. Even if you switch jobs a few times, SS will still automatically deducted as long as you work. Quite yer bitchin'! We didn't make the rules but we had to live by them the same as you. |

I do agree with thenpart where you worked but your wages were better on buying power. Equiptment and cars were built to last and simple to fix. Taxes were lower, food prices are outrages based on inflation. Minimum wage should be 23 bucks an hour now. You guys were given a lot of land by your parents and grandparents. It was a simple time and you didnt pay sin tax like we did on pleasures. Most of you smoke the younger generation does not. You are a burden on healthcare for your poorr choices. Instead of name calling maybe just a little recognition that life is harder jow. You guys buolt up when life was easy and that is why high iflation isnt affecting you the same. Kids today are forced into a world of computers and office work. Real jobs are dissappearing at an alarming rate. There is ow a brick laying machine that can lay an insane amount of bricks. Soon to be a brick layer will mean to calibrate and setup the machine. We are trning into pansies |

Most boomers were not given houses by their parents. Boomers went out to work right after high school or college. By the time their parents died and the boomers inherited their house, the boomers' own kids were already grown and the boomers were well into their 50s or 60s. Their own houses were already paid for. Yeah, jobs were plentiful. We boomers were well educated even with a high school diploma. It's not our fault the economy was booming after WW II. We were not lazy like today's generation. We worked hard and we played hard. We saved our money. If cars were cheap, salaries weren't all that high and we had to take out car loans on top of rent or home loans and raising children. In the beginning it wasn't easy but we pursued. Today's generation whines about not having any jobs. They don't know they can go out and make their own livelihood by starting their own business. Or presenting themselves in a positive way to potential employers. Someone with ear, nose, and tongue piercings or tons of tattoos will never be hired in a high-paying job even with a high GPA and a college grad. They would be an embarrassment to the company. Drug users will fail the drug tests that are now standard procedure prior to employment. Keep whining and blame it on the boomers. No one listens to a whiner who doesn't even know what he/she is whining about or who won't do anything to help themselves to a better life. |
