Not much about France on the Belgian news either. Nothing at all on the fuel shortage that I've seen so far.

We've got our own strikes to worry about here. Quite a few planned in the next few weeks. It's kicking off tomorrow with a huge strike in Brussels against the "anti-social policies" of the current govt. Brussels police are expecting 50,000 protesters to descend on the capital.

Kevin Philippy, 28, was dubbed the “Kung fu cop” by French social media, after footage of the horrific attack showed him deftly evading blows from a masked assailant wielding an iron bar.

Mr Philippy, a probationary police officer, reached for his gun before deciding better of it and walking calmly away from the blazing car.

Millions of British holiday makers visiting France could be left stranded in their cars during the half-term holidays, the AA has warned, as half of local petrol pumps could run dry if French drivers panic-buy fuel over supply fears.

A shortage caused by an industrial dispute means one in 20 pumps in North and North West France is currently short of petrol, but Edmund King, president at the AA, predicted this could rise to half of all pumps within days as French locals are panic-buying petrol to store in jerrycans.
