I met a girl from the philippines in a bar in Japan. As i speak her native language (among many) I had a conversation with her about her situation. She explained to me that she went there under contract as a "domestic worker" and went through a legitimate Hiring Company that was based in the USA and had an office in her country. She PAID to get the job.
She and all the foreign girls in the bar had their passports removed so they could not leave and when not working they were kept in a Locked Compound. She and many of the girls were long overdue to "go home" but were told they OWED money for Room and Board and other expenses and were FORCED to Work. They were allowed to go out to the Ginza once a Month but were under escort.
Her duties consisted of selling drinks, dancing topless and doing Private Parties for Business men, essentially group sex parties sometimes consisting of her and a bunch of guys, sometimes bondage etc and many times it would be filmed. She was always scared. She said one girl tried to run away and was beaten to death. Most any bars in japan near a military base are staffed like this as in man overseas ports, many of the young prostitutes are essentialy forced into it. I can tell you worse stories.
