I've read the website including the "testament" and there are so many insinuations that they thoroughly believe they are indeed the illuminati. ANY entity that tries to proclaim itself as all knowing, all caring an "alternative" entity that will save us from war, famine and give us an abundance when we simply begin to follow their cause? Sound a little familiar? Deception on a grand scale is what I'm calling. People will flock to it because of the message.
