Quoting: Anonymous Coward 56590286 we don't need more angry black men as cops. The angry black men would not past the psych evaluation. There are BLM protestors who do so peacefully like MLK, that would pass the psych exam. I also believe that there are good cops and bad ones. The good ones need to start calling out the bad ones because they are making them look bad. Just like good black people need to start calling out the bad black people and their behaviors. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71653160 The ones who join the police force would only be corrupt if that police department is corrupt. And yes there is a culture of corruption in some police departments. I think very few police become cops indenting to be corrupt, but if there is a culture of corruption they will soon assimilate. Just like many people run for congress with good intentions, but they soon learn how things work in D.C. and eventually adapt and run for reelection over and over. Or they keep their integrity, leave office and go back to their communities to do what good they can. |

Just angry ignorant idiots foaming at the mouth is all they are and they need to be exposed as such. Want to try and get some oversight on police departs, then go for it and good luck, because it's natural for them to close ranks as comrades. |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 72388114 United States 07/12/2016 07:07 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You're just now figuring out that 99 percent of GLP just houses idiots with double standards who are in fact the real problem? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2569721 I've been coming here since 2002, it hasn't always been that way. It is really shocking to see so many people here opposed to Americans uniting to solve a problem. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 72489623 United States 07/12/2016 07:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | When I saw the title of this thread Quoting: BLMPD 72388114 Thread: Dallas police chief now calling for BLM protesters to join police force!!! I thought, "wow someone actually came up with a way to solve two problems” But then I saw mostly negative reactions to that suggestion. Here we are at a conspiracy site, where everyone knows keeping us divided is the best way for the tptb to control us. Yet when someone suggests that two groups who have some friction unite, everyone opposes it. It's like you all have been programed to remain divided because of some differences in culture, political beliefs, religious beliefs, ethnicity and on and on. This is a good solution because it addresses two serious problems: Black on black crime and police using deadly force to subdue suspects. If members of BLM, who qualify to be police, could see firsthand how difficult it is for police to patrol the ghetto, they would understand the fear many police face when responding to potential dangerous situations in the ghetto. Not only can they convey this firsthand knowledge to people who would listen to them, they can find a way to police these neighborhoods without using excessive force. In addition, BLM policemen could actually start working on solving the biggest problem facing the black community, which is black on black violence. I won't pretend to know how that problem can be solved, but BLMP would probably have a better chance at reaching troubled youth. Instead of patrolling the neighborhoods as what many perceive to be an oppressive force, they could become role models and father figures for the many troubled young men raised by single mothers. There may be better solutions; however anything that will decrease violence between police and the black community, as well as violence between blacks will have to involve leaders in the black community and cooperation with law enforcement. As long as we stay divided the problems will only increase and become more severe. United we Stand, Dived we Fall So you want to load America's police forces with racists to solve the problem of a so-called racist police force. That should work out well and would all be well and good if the ulterior motive of BLM had anything to do with policing. It is the black community that is failing, not the police. Why is there never any emphasis on addressing that problem? Why is it always society at large that has to lower its standards to accommodate blacks but never any pressure on blacks to raise their standard of behavior? Could it be the soft racism of low expectations? |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 72563457 United Kingdom 07/12/2016 08:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It worked in Northern Ireland. It took a year or two to settle down. The hardliners on both sides caused trouble initially but letting Catholic's join the Police Service and renaming it...worked! Thankfully the greater majority of the population were progressive, rational and wanted change, they supported it. The PSNI now has some of the best community relations in the world, something the country is very proud off! We still have civil unrest and 'recreational rioting' particularly at this time of year but it is controlled and well dealt with and only in inner city ghetto's. The PSNI travels the world teaching other police forces how to deal with civil unrest. I watched the live footage from Baton Rouge and the police reaction and brutality was horrific! The world was watching and the world now supports BLM. Any support that was lost after the Dallas killings, has now been regained 100 fold. It was ironic that here in NI, the community leaders and politicians that were hugely opposed to Catholics joining the police and calling the old RUC and new PSNI catholic killers, sectarian and involved in government collusion were actually saying that Baton Rouge needed the PSNI. I have utter respect for the Dallas police chief and his progressive ideas! I know GLP members aren't going to agree with me but I hope they aren't indicative of the general US population. This used to be the best forum on the web but it has gone to the dogs. It is no longer a forum of critical thinkers and good debate, it is a forum of hate and competition in who can make the most outrageous but ill-informed statements. Irony has been lost on most! I think it is time for you too realise that not all BLM supporters are gun wielding murderers, the majority are citizens with real concerns and a huge chunk of those are white! The same way that not all police officers are murderous racist's! Only a small number are but that number is big enough to make an impact! With smart phones and social media this forum has lost credibility. Any new members can see the blatant madness and that you are all screaming into a void of hate! Right, I am off to take another self imposed break from GLP but I wanted to voice my support for the Dallas police chief and why! |
