What Trump didn't realize is running on a platform of nation sovereignty would bring the entire power structure down upon him.

What year exactly would you say this happened? I'm thinking sometime after 2012, it's like there was a secret agreement made. I definitely noticed it, but it wasn't so obvious to me until Trump started speaking out. Then I realized how unusual this had suddenly become.

2012-2014 seems about right. That's when it became openly pushed and promoted but i think it started way back around 1990ish with GHWB.

They saw the Obama administration as their big chance to get reform pushed through. Probably George Soros started controlling the narrative heavily to support his agenda.
