I don't understand how dope dealers keep replacing all their customers who OD and die...think about it, it isn't good business to kill off your customers unless you have a steady stream of new customers to replace them.

I guess now that the govt is clamping down on pain meds for people who really need it and pushing them out onto the streets, things like this might become more common.

Glad I quit using when I did years ago, I wasn't far from that last blast-off.

This is what I'm thinking.. Dealers would never kill the golden goose... You think someone or the government is trying to rid the world of addicts?

Nope. It's greedy dealers.

They lace their heroin with fentanyl and its analogs, which are up to 10000x the strength of morphine. They've only become popular recently. Fentanyl analogs are cheaper than heroin to produce, as well as far stronger, and can be made in a lab(no smuggling) so they make a shit-ton of money. The amount of money they make far outweighs the loss from a few addicts ODing.

The problem with fentanyl is that it's extremely difficult to mix it evenly into another powder. Most dealers jsut do it in their appartment with no scientific knowledge. So they end up with "hot spots", clumps of powder with more fentanyl than the rest which is lethal to whichever lucky junkie injects it.
