I accurately estimate it to originate from a low to mid level price range and cookie cutter, mass produced shaping.

I estimate OP has 32 thousand outstanding for his MBA degree and is only one year out from paying off his 4 year old Vespa.

As someone that is taking a short break from packing up our rental apartment today I can definitely say there's more than £5k worth of stuff here.

We have bought the next place though so maybe we don't count.

Are you making assumptions? I am a Lord of the land who has tenants with electronics valued at more than £5000. Or perhaps you are only talking about your country?

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73103159

You mean folding camping chairs? Yep, got a couple of those from Canadian Tire in the camper. Now I could use a new seat in the boat that they carry, but even though they were on sale recently, having the third seat in the middle uses up lots of valuable real estate when you're scrambling for a bonker or a net.

The boat functions best with two people, it's only 14'.

There's more than £5K worth of hobby-related equipment in my 'den' room.

Oh... add to that, the two guitars in the corner of the living room - another £4K+

Then there's furniture, electricals, clothing, etc, etc, etc....

5,000...? ROFL!

Err-r-r-rm
Because this site is primarily American... The majority of readers will identify with the term 'den' as opposed to 'man-cave'.

What it's called is irrelevant - it's the same place no matter what you call it.
My missus has a few choice terms for it....

You have more then him, thats why he's responding like that. Also he's worried about getting in debt from the mortgage, so he's trying to flex his 'cash pecs' if you like, its a form of strutting, but it doesn't fool most humans, including himself.
Op your gonna have to work hard now, it will all be fine, gl!

I wonder how much the OP's basement costs?

Maybe we should ask his parents.
