Geneva Bible vs KJV
The Geneva Bible was one of the first with mass printings and numbered verses, and was the bible used by the Puritans and Pilgrims. Its marginal notes, by Coverdale, Calvin, and Knox, described the Pope as the Antichrist.
From 1560 to 1644, there were 144 editions printed of the Geneva Bible.

The KJV was produced to be less antagonistic to Rulers and Popes.

"The Anglican Church’s King James Bible took decades to overcome the more popular Protestant Church’s Geneva Bible. One of the greatest ironies of history, is that many Protestant Christian churches today embrace the King James Bible exclusively as the “only” legitimate English language translation… yet it is not even a Protestant translation! It was printed to compete with the Protestant Geneva Bible, by authorities who throughout most of history were hostile to Protestants… and killed them. While many Protestants are quick to assign the full blame of persecution to the Roman Catholic Church, it should be noted that even after England broke from Roman Catholicism in the 1500’s, the Church of England (The Anglican Church) continued to persecute Protestants throughout the 1600’s. One famous example of this is John Bunyan, who while in prison for the crime of preaching the Gospel, wrote one of Christian history’s greatest books, Pilgrim’s Progress. Throughout the 1600’s, as the Puritans and the Pilgrims fled the religious persecution of England to cross the Atlantic and start a new free nation in America, they took with them their precious Geneva Bible, and rejected the King’s Bible. America was founded upon the Geneva Bible, not the King James Bible."

The 1581 Geneva bible is a better translation of the bible. It was the bible used by the Puritan's and Christian Pilgrims when the came to America. The 1611 KJV bible was translated by a group of men belonging to the Order Of Masonic Lodge.

Francis Bacon And KJV

The first edition of the King James Bible, which was edited by Francis Bacon and prepared under Masonic supervision, bears more Mason's marks than the Cathedral of Strasburg.-Manly P. Hall, from a lecture Rosicrucian and Masonic Origins 1929.

NONE of the translations I have ever seen were commanded of God to be made. Period. They are ALL imperfect with errors and men who dare to comment in the edges without being prophets.

That being said, Yahweh said to seek after the old paths. So I tell men to read the oldest that they are able to read. GNV is the best of the worst and KJV(the oldest version) right after that. And to be obedient to commandment from God through Paul saying, "Prove ALL things, and hold on to that which is good".

So, men, no matter what version they read, must be obedient to test/prove every word and every definition used in the scriptures they read so that the old testament matches the new and the new is not contrary to the old(and the scriptures are not contrary to proven history and ancient men, children of God).
For Yahweh has said he NEVER changes and this is why we are not consumed and dead.

Now....if men actually obeyed me, more than a few, we would have better understanding and none would be tricked. Rather, if men obeyed God instead of pretending, none would be deceived by any form of guile.

Thank you for teaching me something hf

The Anglican Church’s King James Bible took decades to overcome the more popular Protestant Church’s Geneva Bible. America was founded upon the Geneva Bible, not the King James Bible.

Protestants today are largely unaware of their own history, and unaware of the Geneva Bible (which is textually 95% the same as the King James Version, but 50 years older than the King James Version, and not influenced by the Roman Catholic Rheims New Testament that the King James translators admittedly took into consideration). Nevertheless, the King James Bible turned out to be an excellent and accurate translation, and it became the most printed book in the history of the world, and the only book with one billion copies

No, explanations are needed by those of us who have not the knowledge of history or Latin or Greek or Hebrew/Aramaic writing to understand what is being said.

The translators of the Geneva bible were using previous translations(like the Great Bible), plus the Greek, Latin Vulgate, and Aramic texts which were available. They added margin notes as they thought needed to explain certain texts.

The KJV used primarily the Geneva Bible, but changed the margin notes to be less anti-Pope and anti-King.

The KJV mostly used now is an edition called the Scofield Bible. It was commissioned by Zionists to confuse Christians that ancient Israel is the same as todays' Jews. This edition is still being changed by its owners--the Oxford University Press.

The reasons for adding notes is arbitrary and even with that knowledge, you still need to prove what is being said. The definitions of the words and make sure they are the same from 2000 years ago till today.

The main issue I see if that men neither know they were commanded to keep God's testimonies and less know what they are. So, when I say it is important to prove the words, I say it because it is important to be correctly obedient.

For example some fools believe:
Respect = Honor
Temptation = Testing
Faith = Belief
Law = ALL law
Law = commandments only
Torah = commandments only

And you could not defeat these lies^ unless you prove the words in whatever version you are reading including the aramaic and hebrew and greek because the fathers, prophets, and apostles did not at all times make difference between the words and the times in their speeches/writings. That is because God wanted some men never to understand and partly also because the Apostles were not speaking to present day people, but men who knew the law like the back of their hands and heard it repeated every saturday.

However, I did not know about "the great bible: I will look that up, not that it will change the law on the matter.

Psalms 12:6-8

KJV

The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.

NKJV New King James Version

The words of the LORD are pure words, like silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
You shall keep them, O LORD, You shall preserve them from this generation forever.
The wicked prowl on every side, when vileness is exalted among the sons of men.

NIV New International Version

And the words of the LORD are flawless, like silver purified in a crucible, like gold refined seven times.
You, LORD, will keep the needy safe and will protect us forever from the wicked,
who freely strut about when what is vile is honored by the human race.

ESV English Standard Version

The words of the LORD are pure words, like silver refined in a furnace on the ground, purified seven times.
You, O LORD, will keep them; you will guard us from this generation forever.
On every side the wicked prowl, as vileness is exalted among the children of man.

traditional Orthodox Christian understanding taught that one must be very prayerful and exercise fasting and other means to purify and gain deeper understanding… the Bible cannot be read on face value and truly understood… it is too easy to put our own egos ahead of truth and "eyes that see"
