Wishing him luck! When my son was in college he wrote a paper correlating vaccinations to autism, using Amish populations as examples. Straight As throughout college and this teacher gives him a C- and in red ink challenged him about how wrong he was about vaccinations - the grade had nothing to do with his paper itself, and obviously she did not check any of his listed sources - it was the topic that dropped his grade - this was an English class and she did not mark up anything wrong with sentence structure or missing any of the required elements.

I wish your son well on this - you should be very proud of him for taking on such a touchy subject that is likely going to keep him very, very busy sorting through it all. cheers!

On a side note. I downloaded the "Hillary's America" movie the other day but haven't been able to watch it yet since I've been watching the Dodgers playoff games, but my Dad is completely brainwashed and doesn't believe anything unless he sees it on the news or in a newspaper and he just watched Hillary's America movie.

He came downstairs almost in shock and started telling me he couldn't believe how corrupt Clinton and the Democrats are and that everything me and my son had been telling him about Clinton and this election is true.

My dad is a typical Canadian and compltely brainwashed by the media so I'm completely surprised to hear him say these things.

I told him to watch Clinton Cash the next time he puts on a movie.

Just curious, but why have him go against the grain for an assignment that will most likely wind up in the trash after grading?

Unless this is for college, I'd stick to neutral topics. Especially since you already know the teacher would like to give an F for such a topic.

Why put a target on him so early? It's great to teach these topics at home, but I certainly wouldn't try and force it down a teachers throat.

Yeah I was pretty excited when my son told me what he wanted to do his essay on. But it wasn't completely a surprise to me. Me and his mother are seperated and he lives with her so each night when he comes over to see me I walk him home when it is time for him to leave.

It's about a 5 Km walk and the entire time all we talk about is Trump and Clinton and I get to update him on all of the latest Clinton scandals. He loves hearing about this stuff and is pro-Trump 100% even though all of his friends and even his mother is pro-Clinton.

My son is also taking a World Issues class and in both this class and in english they regularly talk about the American elections. The whole class bashes Trump but my son tells me that that doesn't bother him and has no problem standing up and pointing out all of the lies about trump and how Corrupt Hillary is.

Although.. I home schooled. My son won the Gold Key Scholastic Art & Writing Awards as a Junior in High School, and his topic was the Opium trade..

He's in great company though, writers wise. Andy Warhol, Truman Capote, Richard Avedon, Philip Pearlstein, Sylvia Plath, John Updike, , Stephen King, Myla Goldberg, Zac Posen and Lena Dunham all of whom won when they were teens.

So I suppose my advice could go either way. lol

My son is like me. We aren't sellout and cannot help but standing up in things we believe in. They have chats in class and also in his World Issues class about the American elections and the candidates and even though there is only one other person in the class that's pro-Trump my son cannot go against the things he believes in just to fit in and not look like an outsider.

I have always been like this as well and I pushed that on him at a very young age so it makes me happy to see that he listened to me and that he is not afraid to stand up for the things he likes and believes in.

You're not helping him, you're hurting him.

You're right about my son doing his own research. There is just so much I just think it would overwealm him. Other than that my son pretty much is doing the essay on his own but I just want to make sure that my son understand's Hillary's biggest scandals so he can spend more time on those ones.

Have him email the teacher to give him an "A" or else. Then delete the email, hand in stolen paper and then when confronted tell the teacher he doesn't know what he's talking about and cry racism/sexism ect.

I would watch the debate with a notepad and write down the points he makes about the corruption in particular and research it so he can convey it well.

Id avoid using the word "WIKILEAKS" just so the teacher doesn't eye roll, and say something of the like, " in her recently released e-mails shes admitted to accepting $12 million special interest from morocco. [The recent leak that came out today]

he could make a great thesis talking about all three things he wants to talk about, and talking about her lies and corruption.



introductory paragraph .. last sentence is thesis(which is his point and three examples hes going to talk about)

1st paragraph bout watergate
2nd bout deleting her e-mails and bring up one i mentioned would be good
3rd another one he wants to talk about (possibly her campaign having people on her payroll to incite violence at trump rallies)

conclusion - rewrite the thesis (brief summary) wrap it up with that there are many red flags and (this is where he says fuck you to the class) it should be frightening that the media has a narrative thats on her side and its important to look at her history and make your own opinion.
