"look at it this way. Men have two sets of standards -- girls they'll hook up with randomly at a bar, and girls they'll date and bring home to meet the parents. Generally speaking, most guys will fuck any mildly attractive drunk girl who shows interest, but have higher standards for a relationship. Women just think in reverse. They have unreasonable standards for a one-night hook up, because very attractive men will drop their standards and go after them if it means getting laid the first night. Women are also acutely aware that these guys won't commit, and that even if they pretend to, they're more likely to cheat.

It all works out in the end; women eventually settle for a more reliable guy, and regular guys get to have sex with attractive women in exchange for their freedom. If you're lucky enough to be an alpha male, it's smooth sailing until you're in your 40's and your looks go and you have no social support structure in your life. If you're a gamma male, you'll have to hit the gym and pick up a few dinner checks to have sex. Nobody gets a free ride forever."
