The internet brings all the world's information to people - so how do TPTB counter it? | |

And even if you did know 10% of the truth, you still wouldn't do anything about it, because you can't, and you won't. The PTB laugh at you daily. No shit, you peeps are fooling yourselves. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 67102727 At that point, we're back to the point where MSM can define reality for the people. You don't counter swimming against a riptide, you learn to surf the waves. |
Dr. Moran User ID: 73391481 Finland 12/09/2016 06:25 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Uh... most people don't even think about vetting the information they see on the net or in the news. They see something they already agree with and they immediately share it as if it were a proven fact. They see news that makes them angry, and they share it right away without fact checking it. It happens on GLP all the time, too. In fact, the conspiracy theory community is mostly a circle-jerk of alternative sites citing each other as reference and calls it "research". If someone wants to see the original information on which the theory is based on, or more substantive proof, he'll be called a shill or a skeptic (as if that's an insult). Reality is defined by the viewer...if you lack critical thinking skills, get used to being a stooge. |

Due diligence is not on this site. If the GLP posters bet on stocks, they'd probably lose it all in the first month. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 73558949 United States 12/09/2016 06:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Washington Post just admitted that their fake news story was based on fake news. Editor’s Note: The Washington Post on Nov. 24 published a story on the work of four sets of researchers who have examined what they say are Russian propaganda efforts to undermine American democracy and interests. One of them was PropOrNot, a group that insists on public anonymity, which issued a report identifying more than 200 websites that, in its view, wittingly or unwittingly published or echoed Russian propaganda. A number of those sites have objected to being included on PropOrNot’s list, and some of the sites, as well as others not on the list, have publicly challenged the group’s methodology and conclusions. The Post, which did not name any of the sites, does not itself vouch for the validity of PropOrNot’s findings regarding any individual media outlet, nor did the article purport to do so. Since publication of The Post’s story, PropOrNot has removed some sites from its list. For instance, 99.999999999% of the political talk online id either pro Hillary or pro Trump. That is all bs. The truth is that those two are the same thing and that truth is rejected equally by both sides. So the sheep are self policing at this point. |
